To honor the 25th anniversary of their first chronograph, the Datograph debuts in a white gold case with a blue dial
Originally introduced in 1999, the Datograph marked A. Lange & Söhne debuted into the realm of chronographs, and over time, it has evolved into a platform showcasing some of the brand's most remarkable watchmaking achievements. In 2012, it underwent a revision, incorporating design refinements and an extended power reserve of 60 hours, transforming it into the renowned "Dato" we recognize today. To commemorate Watches & Wonders 2024 and the Datograph's 25th anniversary, Lange has unveiled a limited edition model featuring a striking blue dial housed within a white gold case. With only 125 units being produced, this marks the third rendition of the Datograph, following previous iterations available in platinum and pink gold with black dials. Despite its distinctive aesthetic, this latest model maintains identical specifications to its predecessors.

The 41mm white gold case stands 12.1mm tall, featuring polished surfaces on the front and a brushed finish on the case middle and back. crown for winding and setting time with 2 chronograph pushers, a pushed for date rapid correction

Now presented in blue for the first time, the dial showcases contrasting rhodium-plated luminous white gold hour, minute, and power reserve hands, along with a rhodium-plated steel chronograph seconds hand, white gold applied baton markers, and blued steel hands within the sub-dials. A distinctive dial design sets this watch apart from any other on the market, highlighted by Lange’s signature large date at noon, two subsidiary dials, and a power reserve indicator at 6 o’clock, forming an equilateral triangle.

Powered by the in-house manual-winding calibre L951.6, operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour, this watch delivers elapsed time measurements accurate to one-fifth of a second. Through the sapphire caseback, one can observe the jumping minutes counter and column wheel in motion, showcasing the exceptional finishing synonymous with Lange's craftsmanship. Composed of 451 meticulously assembled parts, this movement offers a power reserve of 60 hours.
