Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
Another successful collaboration with the French designer Alain Silberstein
Louis Erard has spent recent years defining a very specific place for itself within contemporary Swiss watchmaking. Its strength lies in clarity of design and advanced mechanics. That balance has become central to Louis Erard’s identity.

That design awareness is especially visible in the brand’s collaborative work, where Louis Erard has shown a rare ability to absorb the language of an outside creative without losing its own. One of its most notable collaborations is with French designer Alain Silberstein, who has, over the years, developed a visual vocabulary that is instantly recognisable, one in which hands, markers, and displays become a composition of shapes as much as instruments of timekeeping.

Together, Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein have built one of the most distinctive collaborations in modern independent watchmaking. What began as a creative exchange has gradually evolved into a recognisable sub-identity within the brand, shaped by regulator displays, unconventional indications, and a playful graphic language. That ongoing dialogue now enters the Hall of Fame collection with the new Smile-Day Blue and Tourbillon Régulateur Blue.

Both models are housed in a 40 mm case with a thickness of 11.8 mm, executed in microblasted Grade 2 titanium with polished accents. The case features a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The caseback is transparent on both models, offering a view of the movement, while water resistance is rated at 100 metres.

The dial is where the personality of each watch comes fully into focus. Both are defined by a blue sunray surface that adds depth and play of light to the display. On the Smile-Day Blue, the hours are indicated by a red triangle hand, the minutes by a white arrow hand, and the seconds by a yellow serpentine hand. At 6 o’clock, the day display takes the form of a smiling disc whose expression and colour change as the week progresses, moving from black during the weekdays to red as the weekend approaches. A date display is integrated into the same lower section.

The Tourbillon Régulateur Blue approaches the dial from a more technical angle. It uses a regulator layout, with the hours displayed at 12 o’clock, the minutes placed centrally, and the tourbillon aperture at 6 o’clock.

Powering the Smile-Day Blue is the Sellita SW220-1, an automatic movement operating at 28,800 vph (4 Hz), with a power reserve of 38 hours. The Tourbillon Régulateur Blue is fitted with the hand-wound BCP T02 calibre, beating at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offering a 100-hour power reserve. Both watches are paired with a blue nylon strap fitted with a hook-and-loop fastening system, a choice that complements the lightness of the titanium case.

As part of the Hall of Fame collection, the watches are not presented as one-off limited editions, though production remains tightly controlled each year. The Smile-Day Blue is limited to 250 pieces per year, while the Tourbillon Régulateur Blue is limited to 50 pieces per year. Pricing is set at CHF 4,000, approximately AED 18,700, for the Smile-Day Blue, and CHF 15,900, approximately AED 74,000, for the Tourbillon Régulateur Blue.
