A Limited Edition with Beautiful Touches in a Special Collaboration between Ahmed Seddiqi and Girard-Perregaux
A steel luxury sports watch with an integrated bracelet might seem like a standard offering in today’s watch market. At first glance, the Laureato fits this description perfectly: a finely crafted, high-quality steel sports watch.

Despite its origins in the 1970s, the Laureato has recently experienced a revival in interest. The Laureato is a 42mm stainless steel model available in various colors, but today we highlight a special edition in a blue hue. As we mentioned, blue holds particular significance, especially when linked to the special edition unveiled in 2021 with a blue grand feu enamel dial at Dubai Watch Week. This edition serves as a testament to the ongoing allure of the Laureato.

Now, a new special edition of the Laureato has emerged, this time boasting a striking blue hue. Yet, this particular piece holds distinct significance – it's the UAE Edition, a collaborative effort between Girard-Perregaux and Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons, the esteemed luxury watch and jewelry retailer in the UAE. This collaboration not only pays homage to the esteemed heritage of the iconic Laureato, which made its mark on the watchmaking scene back in 1975, but also introduces a unique feature, the entire dial is adorned with Eastern Arabic numerals, a first for the Laureato Chronograph. Limited to just 100 pieces and exclusively available at Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons boutiques, this edition epitomizes a blend of tradition, innovation, and exclusivity.

We won't delve into its comfort on the wrist or its elegant design because, as they say, "you need to wear it to understand. The Laureato Chronograph Endless Skyline UAE Edition proudly showcases a robust yet refined case crafted from 904L steel, meticulously polished to perfection. Its distinctive octagonal bezel gracefully crowns a circular base, nestled within a tonneau-shaped casing. Maintaining the same dimensions as its predecessors, this timepiece measures 42 mm in diameter. Protected by sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, the watch features limited edition markings discreetly inscribed on its solid case.

The radiant blue dial, showcasing Swiss craftsmanship, merges seamlessly with the black subdials to create a captivating blend. This timepiece introduces Eastern Arabic numerals for the first time in the Chronograph edition, adding a unique touch of distinction.

The distinctive blue dial, adorned with a Clous de Paris pattern, is a feature certain to captivate loyal enthusiasts of the brand. While the dial appears light blue from certain angles, its hue can vary from bright to dark blue depending on the lighting, granting the piece a radiant and dynamic charm. Black PVD-treated baton-style hour and minute hands harmonize with matching baton-type indexes. Both hands and indexes are adorned with white luminescent material, emitting a radiant glow in low light conditions.

The textured dial is punctuated by three snailed subdials, a small seconds sundial at 3 o'clock, a 12-hour chronograph counter at 6 o'clock and a 30-minute chronograph counter at 9 o'clock. Positioned between 4 and 5 o'clock, a date display completes the functional ensemble. The GP logo, brand name, minute track, and markings encircling the counters are elegantly rendered in black PVD, enhancing legibility against the blue hue.

The watch is powered by the Manufacture Calibre GP03300. This self-winding movement, comprising 419 components, is exquisitely finished. Adorned with various decorative elements, including Côtes de Genève in circular and straight forms, circular graining, and blued steel screws.
Laureato Chronograph Endless Skyline UAE Edition is worn on a satin-finished and polished integrated stainless steel bracelet, closed by a triple-folding clasp. limited to 100 pieces only and is priced at AED 71,000, available at select Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons boutiques across the UAE.
