Introducing The New Zenith Chronomaster Original Triple Calendar
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition timepiece powered by the historical Lemania 1873 movement
Venezianico started in late 2017 when the brothers Alberto and Alessandro Morelli, who loved watches, were studying at Ca' Foscari University in Venice, Italy. They began shaping their idea to make watches that reflect their passion for watchmaking and capture the true essence of Venice, their hometown. While in Venice, the two brothers noticed a peculiar detail atop the ancient Clock Tower: a golden Renaissance cross, symbolizing the passage of time in the city. This observation ignited their desire to create a watch brand that would blend their passions, leading to the founding of Venezianico.
Now, the brand is launching the Bucintoro 1969 Limited Edition, a new chronograph that marks the journey of the two brothers to Switzerland to acquire a number of Lemania 1873 movements. These historical movements honor one of the most monumental events in human history: the 1969 Moon landing, as they were powering the first “Moonwatch” to land on the moon.
The case is made from 316L stainless steel, measuring 42 mm in diameter and 11.70 mm in thickness, giving it a substantial yet comfortable presence on the wrist. Protecting the dial is a domed sapphire crystal that is coated with an anti-reflective treatment. The sapphire crystal case back offers a glimpse into this historic movement, it is fixed to the case by eight screws and ensures water resistance up to 100 meters.
On the side of the case next to the crown are buttons to start and reset the chronograph function. On the opposite side, at the 8 o'clock position, there's a steel plate that displays the serial number of each piece in this exclusive limited edition, which is limited to just 69 pieces.
The dial boasts a multi-level structure with a Tri-compax layout, featuring a black sunburst disk over a pattern created with a 3D printer, evoking the surface of the moon with its craters and characteristic dark gray color. The inner flange of the dial includes multiple references to the launch phase at Cape Canaveral, incorporating a second tachymetric scale with indices that align with key countdown phases. These start with "Pre-Launch" at T-60, followed by the countdown's key moments, such as T-10 for the start of the final countdown, "Engine Ignition" at T-5, and "Launch" at zero. After the countdown reaches zero, the chronograph can measure speed using the tachymeter, and the "Reset" button allows for a new sequence to be initiated.
The Lemania 1873 caliber operates at 21,600 vph (3Hz), and offers 40 hours of power reserve. The watch is equipped with a Canova steel bracelet and includes two additional black straps: one made of leather with a Velcro closure system inspired by spacesuits, and the other made of rubber. It also comes with the necessary tools for strap replacement. As we have mentioned, the watch is limited to 69 pieces, and priced at EUR 4,500 which is equivalent to AED 17,800.
