Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
Debuting its first fully integrated bracelet timepiece
Ming has become one of the most talked-about independent names in contemporary horology. Born from a desire to marry aesthetic clarity with technical substance, the brand seeks to revive a sense of discovery among watch enthusiasts by exploiting lightness, form, and colour in ways few others attempt. Ming’s watches are instantly recognisable for their layered sapphire dials, thoughtful use of luminous materials, and a highly expressive design language.

With its latest release, the brand debuts the 56 Series, marking a structural shift in Ming’s design and construction approach. It introduces a completely new case architecture developed specifically for an integrated bracelet. The 56.00 Starfield serves as the first expression of this series, establishing the design principles, construction methods, and wearing experience that will define the collection going forward.

The case measures 40 mm in diameter with a thickness of 9.7 mm and is crafted from mirror-polished 316L stainless steel. Subtle HyCeram luminous inserts are embedded into the case flanks, framing the dial and maintaining visual continuity with earlier Ming design elements. A sapphire exhibition caseback with double-sided anti-reflective coating reveals the movement in full, while water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

The dial is formed from a 1.7 mm thick sapphire plate, internally laser-etched with Ming’s proprietary Mosaic structure. Blued hands treated with Super-LumiNova X1 provide strong contrast against the transparent surface, while the indices are crystal-set into the upper sapphire crystal and filled with Ming Polar White lume.

Powering the watch is the automatic Vaucher for Ming calibre 3002.M1, operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a power reserve of 50 hours. A proprietary luminous rotor introduces a distinctive Starfield effect, reinforcing the watch’s visual identity.

The watch is fitted with an integrated stainless steel bracelet designed with progressive curvature across multiple axes and a higher pivot point for improved ergonomics. A tool-free sizing system allows links to be added or removed without tools, while the butterfly clasp incorporates an on-the-fly micro-adjustment mechanism offering up to 5 mm of total adjustment in precise 1.25 mm increments. This clasp is also the thinnest Ming has produced to date. Limited to just 20 pieces, the 56.00 Starfield is priced at CHF 19,500, approximately AED 93,000.
