Gerald Charles, the independent Swiss watchmaking Maison founded by the great Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, unveils its most complicated watch since its reestablishment less than a decade ago. The Masterlink Perpetual Calendar, developed entirely in-house, marks a new chapter for the young and ambitious Maison as it continues to expand its repertoire of poetic complications.

In keeping with Gerald Charles’s “No Compromise” watchmaking philosophy, established by Mr. Genta more than a quarter of a century ago, the Masterlink Perpetual Calendar introduces an in-house, asymmetrical, automatic perpetual calendar calibre with a three-counter display.

The Navitimer collection has remained one of the most iconic pilot watches since its debut in 1952, renowned for its aviation-inspired design. Over the decades, the Navitimer has evolved, offering a variety of dial options, case materials, and sizes. Now, Breitling presents a bold new addition to this legendary line with the Cortina Watch Online Exclusive Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43, a striking timepiece created in partnership with the Singapore-based watch retailer Cortina Watch.

The watch retains the hallmark features of the collection, including its bidirectional bezel with a functional slide rule for navigational calculations. Its stainless-steel case, measuring 43 mm in diameter and 13.95 mm in thickness, ensures durability, while the glareproof sapphire crystal guarantees excellent readability. The watch’s transparent caseback showcases the intricate movement and bears the engraving “One of 50,” highlighting its exclusivity as a limited edition of just 50 pieces.

The timepiece stands out with its captivating purple satiné translucide dial, a striking departure from the brand's traditional aesthetics. This translucent finish creates a mesmerizing play of light, with tonal shifts ranging from dark to light purple, giving the watch a stunning and unique presence. The classic tri-compax layout is enhanced by silvered subdials, while red gold accents on the brand's emblem, indices, and hands add a touch of elegance.

Powering the watch is Breitling’s Manufacture Calibre 01, an automatic movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offering an impressive 70-hour power reserve. The movement features a column-wheel mechanism and vertical clutch, ensuring smooth and precise chronograph functionality.
