Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition that pays tribute to the British-French supersonic airliner
Since 1884, Breitling has remained closely tied to the world of precision timing, building its reputation around chronographs shaped by practicality, engineering, and a long-standing connection to aviation. Over the decades, that identity has become one of the clearest threads running through the brand’s history, giving Breitling a natural place within the broader story of flight and instrument watchmaking.

The Navitimer was introduced in 1952 for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. It was conceived as a functional tool for pilots, with its circular slide rule serving real navigational purposes at a time when wristwatches still played an active role in the cockpit.

That history provides the context for the new Navitimer B01 Chronograph 43 Tribute to Concorde, a limited edition marking 50 years since the first flight of the supersonic aircraft. It brings together one of Breitling’s most established aviation watches with one of the most memorable names in commercial flight.

The case is made from stainless steel and fitted with a platinum bidirectional bezel featuring the Navitimer’s signature circular slide rule. It measures 43 mm in diameter and 13.69 mm in thickness. Around the back, the watch is fitted with a screwed stainless steel caseback with a sapphire crystal and special engravings. These include “One of 593,” “Tribute to Concorde,” “Jetliner,” and “Mach 2,” directly referencing the aircraft behind the tribute. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.

The dial is rendered in white and dark blue, with the blue tone intended to reflect the view of the stratosphere associated with Concorde flights. White subdials create a crisp contrast, while the hour and minute hands and the indices are finished with Super-LumiNova for legibility. In keeping with the Navitimer’s familiar layout, the display combines central time indications with chronograph counters in a format that remains closely tied to the identity of the collection.

Inside is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B01, an automatic movement that runs at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a 70-hour power reserve. Breitling also equips it with a column-wheel chronograph and vertical clutch, while COSC certification underlines the movement’s chronometer credentials.

The watch is paired with a blue alligator leather strap secured by a stainless steel folding buckle. This is a limited edition of 593 pieces, a number chosen in reference to the Olympus 593 turbojet engines that powered Concorde, and it is priced at EUR 9,750, equivalent to AED 38,745.
