Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

A winter-inspired limited edition with a stunning white dial
In collaboration with Geneva-based customization studio Label Noir, the Swiss brand Alpina ventures into more expressive territory with the release of the Alpina x Label Noir Alpiner Manufacture Date Special Edition. Label Noir has built its reputation on reinterpreting iconic watches through bold surface treatments and creative finishes, often favoring dark, monochromatic executions, as seen in its collaborations with OLIGO and Maurice Lacroix.

Here, however, the studio takes a different path. Instead of shadow and darkness, the partnership explores light, texture, and the color of snow. The result is a striking white limited edition infused with subtle hues of the alpine landscape.

The case measures 41.5 mm in diameter with a thickness of 13 mm and is crafted from stainless steel. What sets it apart is the hammered treatment applied to the bezel and lugs. The surface is manually textured to create an irregular pattern that catches the light from multiple angles, producing a subtle sparkle reminiscent of compacted snow over rock. The movement can be admired through the transparent caseback, and water resistance is rated at 50 meters.

The dial features a grained white surface that evokes freshly fallen snow. Its texture shifts gently with changing light, giving the watch a dynamic presence on the wrist. A peripheral railway-style minute track frames the dial, punctuated by subtle grey markers at five-minute intervals and rectangular accents at the quarters. White lacquered hands, treated with blue-emission Super-LumiNova, ensure legibility in low light. At 6 o’clock lies a pointer date display, indicated by a dedicated white hand that mirrors the central seconds hand.

Powering the watch is the AL-706 manufacture calibre. This automatic movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a 72-hour power reserve, the longest currently available in Alpina’s collection. The extended autonomy is achieved through a large-barrel configuration.

The watch is fitted with a white textile strap secured by a folding buckle. It is limited to 130 pieces and priced at EUR 3,695, approximately AED 16,200.
