Introducing TAG Heuer Updates the Aquaracer Professional 300 Date & GMT

TAG Heuer has a rich heritage in motorsports, exemplified in the brand's iconic racing timepieces, such as the Carrera and Monaco, both of which have left a historical mark on motorsport and horology. Among TAG Heuer's diverse collection, the Aquaracer collection stands out as a paragon of robust, stylish, and highly functional dive watches. The Aquaracer collection is designed to withstand the most challenging underwater conditions while maintaining a sleek and sophisticated aesthetic.

In 2022, TAG Heuer enhanced its flagship diver watch, the Aquaracer, with notable upgrades to its case, dials, and movements. Now, TAG Heuer has further expanded and updated the Aquaracer collection. The latest additions include the Aquaracer Professional 300 Date and Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT models, featuring reduced case sizes, new movements, and beautifully designed dials. 

The stainless steel case sizes have been reduced from 43mm to 42mm, with the Date model measuring 12mm thick and the GMT model at 13.45mm thick, and both watches offer a water resistance of 300m. They feature a 12-sided unidirectional rotating bezel for diving, and 24-hour scale with two colors to represent the day and night, with lumed ceramic inserts that match the dial colors. Each model is equipped with a sapphire crystal with a magnifying loupe for the date, a screw-down caseback, and a screw-down crown. 

The new models feature dials with a wavy pattern instead of straight. The octagonal indexes are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring excellent legibility in all conditions. The Aquaracer Professional 300 Date comes in three colors, blue, black, and green. The Aquaracer Professional 300 GMT is available in two versions, either blue with a blue-black bezel or green with a green-black bezel.

Instead of the previous ETA-based movements, the new releases are powered by the manufacture Calibre TH31-00 for the Date variant and Calibre TH31-03 for the GMT variant. These movements result from collaboration with Sellita's AMT customization. The "AMT" designation in Sellita caliber numbers indicates that the movement was made by Manufacture AMT SA, a Sellita brand. 

The GMT models use the TH31-03, which has the same base movement but with an added 24-hour time zone indication. Both movements are COSC-certified, operate at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offer power reserve of up to 80 hours, an increase from the previous 38-50 hours.

Both releases come with either a stainless-steel 3-link bracelet or a rubber strap, all secured by a double-safety folding clasp. The Date variant prices start from AED 14,000 with a strap and AED 14,800 with the bracelet. The GMT variant prices start from AED 15,600 for the strap and AED 16,400 for the bracelet.
