Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

A Tribute to the Iconic Le Mans Film Starring Steve McQueen and the Legendary Porsche 917K
It didn’t stop with LVMH becoming a global sponsor of Formula 1 and TAG Heuer replacing Rolex on the circuits. This year, TAG Heuer takes it a step further by becoming the title sponsor of the Grand Prix de Monaco.

As is tradition, the brand celebrates the occasion with a fresh lineup of its flagship Monaco Chronographs. The first release was the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph in TH-Titanium.
Now, TAG Heuer unveils the latest Monaco Chronograph × Gulf. A celebrated fusion of horology and motorsport, the Monaco Gulf has been an icon ever since Steve McQueen wore it in the 1971 film Le Mans, where he raced for the Gulf team. Over the years, numerous versions have emerged, but this latest edition introduces a completely new color configuration.
The watch features a fine-grained silvery-white dial with the signature blue and orange Gulf stripes running vertically down the right side, an homage to McQueen’s racing suit and the legendary Porsche 917K.
Housed in a 39mm angular case crafted from sandblasted grade 2 titanium, the watch exudes a bold and sporty presence. The case is water-resistant to 100 meters.
Like the case, the pushers and crown are also made from titanium. While the chronograph pushers are placed traditionally at 2 and 4 o’clock on the right side, the crown is positioned on the left.
The silvery-white dial showcases black opaline subdials, with small seconds at 3 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock. Rhodium-plated indices and hands add a refined touch, while the orange lacquered central chronograph seconds hand injects vibrant contrast. A date window is positioned at 6 o’clock. Luminescent material is applied to the central hour and minute hands for low-light visibility. The dial is signed with the vintage Heuer logo, maintaining historical fidelity.
Powering this edition is the automatic TAG Heuer Caliber 11, based on the Sellita SW300 and paired with a Dubois-Dépraz 2006 chronograph module. This movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a 40-hour power reserve. In total, the movement architecture requires 59 jewels.

The watch is offered on a white Nomex textile strap with orange stitching, Nomex being the fire-resistant material used in racing suits and sourced from Hinchman, the same American company that produced Steve McQueen’s suit for Le Mans. Also included is a blue perforated grained calfskin strap with orange stitching. Both are secured by a sandblasted grade 2 titanium folding clasp with double safety push-buttons and the HEUER logo.
This white-dial Gulf edition is limited to 971 pieces and priced at CHF 9,500, approximately AED 42,500.
