Reviving the historic “Glass Box” design in the third collaboration with Japanese designer Hiroshi Fujiwara
TAG Heuer celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Carrera by revisiting one of its most iconic designs: the famed Carrera Glassbox, first introduced by Jack Heuer in 1963 with its distinctive curved acrylic profile. For this milestone, the Carrera Glassbox returns in a new interpretation created in collaboration with FRGMT, the design studio founded by Japanese streetwear pioneer Hiroshi Fujiwara. Marking the third partnership between TAG Heuer and Fragment, this limited-edition chronograph blends avant-garde aesthetics with Fujiwara’s minimalist, street-influenced design language. The watch is powered by the in-house Calibre TH20-00, housed in a 39 mm stainless-steel case and distinguished by TAG Heuer’s signature Glassbox architecture.

The 39 mm stainless-steel case stays true to the classic Carrera silhouette, featuring vintage pump-style pushers, sharply faceted lugs, a 13.9 mm thickness, and alternating brushed and polished finishes. With no external bezel, the highly domed sapphire crystal extends over the curved tachymeter flange, reaching the very edge of the case for an expansive, uninterrupted view. The caseback is engraved with the FRGMT logo and the watch’s individual number, underscoring its status as a limited edition of 500 pieces.
The dial, rendered in black opaline and framed by a white flange, becomes a refined two-tone stage for Fragment’s disciplined visual identity. Fujiwara’s subtle signature appears on the date disc: on the 1st and 11th of each month, the numerals are replaced by a single or double lightning bolt—an understated design cue that collectors will appreciate.

The dial is purposefully pared back, with grey-printed indices and a clean layout. At 12 o’clock, a “Dato 12”-style aperture displays the date, maintaining the watch’s vintage inspiration while introducing a contemporary twist.
Inside, the watch is driven by the Calibre TH20-00, one of TAG Heuer’s latest high-performance in-house movements. This automatic chronograph is equipped with a vertical clutch and column wheel for precise actuation, runs at 28,800 vph, and delivers a robust 80-hour power reserve. The sapphire caseback reveals the movement’s refined finishing, including the shield-shaped rotor that has become a signature of TAG Heuer’s new generation of calibers.
The watch is paired with a seven-row beads-of-rice bracelet, featuring a black PVD-coated central link and secured with a butterfly clasp.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Fragment is limited to 500 numbered pieces, priced at USD 9,050, equivalent to AED 33,230.
