A sport-driven design inspired by Senna’s helmet and Brazilian flag
Continuing its tribute to one of Formula 1’s most iconic champions, TAG Heuer introduces a new timepiece celebrating the enduring legacy of Ayrton Senna. Unveiled during the São Paulo Grand Prix, these latest TAG Heuer Formula 1 Chronograph x Senna models mark the next chapter in the brand’s long-standing collaboration with the Senna Brand, a partnership that began in 1994 and has since produced a series of bold, performance-driven chronographs.
This year, TAG Heuer presents two special editions honoring Senna’s precision, speed, and lasting influence. The primary model highlighted here is the automatic chronograph, while a second 43 mm quartz variant in stainless steel, limited to 3,000 pieces, is also offered. Both watches adopt a green and yellow color palette as a nod to Senna’s Brazilian heritage and feature the signature “SENNA” branding.
The automatic model stands out with a striking 44 mm case crafted from lightweight, sandblasted Grade 2 titanium, coated in black DLC for a robust, stealth-inspired finish. The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters, and the solid, screw-down caseback also receives the black DLC treatment. It is engraved with an evocative depiction of Senna’s eyes as seen through his helmet visor, a powerful and personal tribute.
A fixed bezel in forged carbon adds further technical appeal, offering a marbled and unique visual texture—no two bezels are identical. Engraved with a tachymeter scale, it also features Senna’s double-“S” logo at 12 o’clock in yellow. Additional yellow accents appear on the lacquered crown ring and at the case-to-bezel joint, adding sharp contrast against the black case. The redesigned chronograph pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock enhance both ergonomics and modern presence.
The dial features a black sunray-brushed finish enlivened with vivid yellow details. At 12 o’clock sits the 30-minute chronograph counter, while the running seconds at 9 o’clock carries the bold yellow “S” emblem. The central chronograph seconds hand is also rendered in bright yellow for immediate legibility. The standout tribute lies at 6 o’clock: a 12-hour chronograph counter in the Brazilian national colors of ‘’blue, green, and yellow’’ an unmistakable salute to Senna’s roots. Applied hour markers, inspired by Formula 1 livery aesthetics, are filled with Super-LumiNova, as are the skeletonized hour and minute hands.
Powering this edition is the automatic Calibre 16, a cam-operated chronograph movement running at 28,800 vph with a 42-hour power reserve, based on trusted Sellita architecture.
Completing the watch is a vibrant yellow rubber strap that echoes the dial accents, secured with a black DLC-coated pin buckle engraved with the TAG Heuer shield. The timepiece arrives in a special deep-blue presentation box with three signature stripes and a matching travel pouch, echoing Senna’s legendary racing helmet.
Unlike many tribute releases, this edition is not limited. It is priced at USD 5,850, approximately AED 21,500.
