Oris Infuses Fresh Flavor into Latest Releases with Watermelon-Inspired Dial Colors
As summer approaches, Oris introduces two watermelon-colored models of its versatile Aquis Date 41.5mm dive watch. Embracing the quintessential summer fruit and its vibrant colors, the refreshed collection features editions in striking green and red hues. Last summer, the company revealed a beautiful collection of diving watches, in wonderful colors, which achieved great success.

The new editions comes with a 41.5 mm stainless steel case, brushed and polished, featuring a domed sapphire crystal. The case back is transparent but made of mineral glass, unlike the sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating that protects the dial. To learn more, the following article explains the difference between all types of glass used in the watch.

The signature oversized crown at 3 o'clock ensures effortless manipulation, and because it screws in, the watch is water-resistant up to 300 meters. Featuring watermelon green or red hues, the white ceramic bezels also have green or red markings.

The dial colors chosen by Oris are inspired by the colors of the most famous summer fruits, the green and red watermelon. While sunburst finishes create a stunning range of colours, ranging from yellowish green to dark green. A thin ring of dark green surrounds the perimeter of the dial, adding a layer of depth. Likewise, red dial has hues ranging from bright red to burgundy. The white date window stands out at 6 o'clock, while the applied indices and hands used in the design of the watch are coated with Super-LumiNova to provide better visibility in low light.

Exposed under the transparent caseback is the Oris Calibre 733, which is based on the Sellita SW200-1. It remains a solid movement, offering a power reserve of approximately 38 hours with a 4Hz beat rate.
The watch is equipped with an integrated-style stainless steel bracelet fitted with a quick-adjust clasp for easy extension. The entire bracelet can also be quickly exchanged for an Oris rubber strap. This watch will join the permanent line and is priced at CHF 2,400, which is equivalent to 9,700 AED.
