Introducing Studio Underd0g Collaborates with Wristcheck, The Uneggspected Series

Founded in 2021, Studio Underd0g made a name for itself with its bold, playful, and creative designs. This young British brand has captured the attention of collectors who appreciate its unconventional approach, with standout releases like the Passion Fruit, which we had the chance to get a closer look with Edouard Meylan, CEO of H. Moser & Cie.

Studio Underd0g takes its creativity to the next level with a new collaboration with the online watch marketplace Wristcheck. Together, they present the "Uneggspected Series," a trio of timepieces based on the brand’s latest Generation 3 of the 01SERIES chronograph. The B0iled Egg, Fried Egg, and R0tten Egg embodies the brand’s approach to watchmaking, proving once again that craftsmanship can have a playful side.

Each watch features a case crafted from 316L stainless steel, measuring 38.5mm in diameter. The new Generation 3 design boasts a slimmer profile at 12.9mm thick, an improvement from the 13.6mm thickness of Generation 2. The case is equipped with a double-domed sapphire crystal and a redesigned screw-down sapphire case back.

The trio shares the same time display, featuring central hands, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o'clock, a small seconds subdial at 9 o'clock, and small egg-shaped indices. However, each watch stands out with its unique aesthetic, representing a boiled, fried, or rotten egg. The B0iled Egg variant features a sunburst yellow dial framed by a egg-white tachymeter scale, while the Fried Egg reverses the colors with a white dial and a yellow tachymeter scale with a yolk-inspired subdial. The R0tten Egg takes a turn with a green dial and a sub-dial displaying a cracked egg motif.

The watches are powered by the Seagull ST-1901B hand-wound chronograph movement, featuring 21 jewels and a black main plate. This movement offers a power reserve of 50 hours, or 45 hours when the chronograph function is in use, operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz). The watches are offered in either leather straps or steel bracelets depending on the variant.  

The B0iled Egg and Fried Egg variants are each limited to 200 pieces, while the R0tten Egg is limited to 90 pieces. Each of the three models are priced at USD 800, approximately AED 3,000.
