Marking the German brand’s 65th anniversary with a limited release
For decades, Sinn has followed an engineering-led philosophy shaped by aviation, navigation, and professional instrumentation. The brand’s watches are conceived as tools first, designed to function with consistency and clarity in demanding conditions, and only then refined aesthetically. It is this quiet, methodical approach that has earned Sinn a loyal following among enthusiasts who value purpose over excess.

The 903 navigation chronograph sits at the heart of that philosophy. Combining a chronograph with a logarithmic slide rule bezel, it represents Sinn’s interpretation of a true pilot’s instrument, capable of performing practical calculations directly on the wrist. Over the years, the 903 has evolved without losing its identity, absorbing technical improvements while retaining the visual language that defines it. This year, the brand expands the collection with the 903 Ti II Anniversary, drawing inspiration from a design created for its 35th anniversary and reworking it through contemporary materials and construction as Sinn marks 65 years of technical focus.

The case is executed in high-strength Grade 5 titanium, balancing polished and satin surfaces. It measures 41 mm in diameter and 14.5 mm in thickness. Turning the watch over reveals a sapphire crystal exhibition caseback secured by a screw-fastened construction, offering a clear view of the movement inside.

More impressive, however, is what cannot be seen at a glance. Despite the presence of a rotating slide rule bezel, the case achieves a water-resistance rating of 200 metres. This is made possible through Sinn’s DSP technology, which allows the bezel to be operated directly from its outer edge without compromising the sealing system.

The dial is finished in a dark blue electroplated tone with a sunburst effect. The hour and minute hands, along with the applied indices and the numeral 12, are made from hybrid ceramic luminous elements, a construction that integrates luminous pigments directly into ceramic components. The result is strong, even illumination in low-light conditions without visual clutter during the day. The chronograph layout follows a classic tri-compax configuration, with three rhodium-plated sub-dials providing balance and legibility. Framing the dial, the logarithmic slide rule bezel reinforces the watch’s navigational purpose, enabling calculations related to speed, distance, and unit conversion that remain central to the spirit of the model.

Powering the watch is the LJP L 112 calibre, an automatic movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivering a power reserve of 60 hours. The column-wheel chronograph architecture is supported by anti-magnetic protection in line with the brand’s technical standards.

The watch is delivered on a high-strength titanium bracelet that mirrors the case finishing and reinforces the overall sense of cohesion. An additional brown leather strap is also included. Production is limited to 500 pieces, with a price of EUR 3,980, approximately AED 17,300.
