Three new timepieces with silver-electroplated bezels
Helmuth Sinn founded Sinn in Germany back in 1961. The company's main emphasis lies in creating navigation clocks and pilot chronographs, as demonstrated by the recent release of the New Manual-Wind Chronograph. The Sinn 903 navigation chronograph has held a prominent position in the Sinn collection since its inception. Now, the brand reintroduces the 903 collection, unveiling three new navigation chronographs in a thoroughly revamped rendition.
Just like their predecessors, the 903 models come in brushed and polished stainless steel cases, measuring 41mm in diameter and 14.5mm in thickness. However, the relaunch introduces a redesign, integrating a silver-electroplated bezel, which is the process of plating a metal onto the other by hydrolysis mostly to prevent corrosion of metal or for decorative purposes. The updated versions retain their distinctive slide rule bezel with a logarithmic scale, allowing the wearer to calculate time, speed, distances, or fuel consumption. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and through the sapphire case back, you can observe the watch’s movement.
Each watch in the trio distinguishes itself by its hue. The brand has added a dark blue dial with luminous ivory coating (903 St B E II), a black electroplated sunburst dial (903 St II), and a limited edition of 500 pieces featuring a light blue sunburst dial (903 St HB). All watches feature a Tri-compax layout with a date window positioned at 4:30, and silver-electroplated counters with hybrid ceramic luminous elements in the indices. These elements are applied by hand on the number 12 and the hour and minute hands.
Every watch is powered by the LJP L110 caliber, a column wheel chronograph movement operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and providing a power reserve of up to 60 hours when fully wound. The two standard models are priced at EUR 3,250 with a strap and EUR 3,550 with a bracelet, equivalent to AED 12,900 and 14,000. However, the limited edition is available with both a leather strap and a solid bracelet at a price of EUR 3,650, equivalent to AED 14,500.
