A harmonious mix of tradition and modernity, crafted for everyday wear
Silva, the Latin word for “forest,” perfectly captures the inspiration behind Hanhart’s latest model. A nod to the brand’s origins, the Silva is crafted in the heart of the Black Forest, in the picturesque town of Gütenbach, where the German watchmakers of the 140-year-old company meticulously assemble each piece. Designed for everyday wear, the Silva embodies sleek, understated elegance, with a design stripped down to the essentials. Its uncluttered dial blends modern aesthetics with classic elements.
The Silva pays homage to Hanhart’s early 20th-century heritage. Before the brand became known for military-inspired watches, it was celebrated for highly legible and reliable time-only pocket watches, a legacy that the Silva carries forward in contemporary form.
The rounded stainless steel case measures 38.5 mm in diameter and just 10 mm in height. Fully polished, it offers ideal proportions and exceptional comfort, suited to a variety of wrist sizes. Its compact dimensions are enhanced by short lugs, bringing the lug-to-lug measurement to just 44 mm. The case features a domed sapphire crystal with internal anti-reflective coating and a screw-down crown engraved with Hanhart’s historic “H” logo. With 50 meters of water resistance, the Silva is robust enough for daily wear while maintaining a refined aesthetic.

The dial is offered in two subtle colorways: a faded mint green called Silva Pistachio and a soft pink called Silva Rosé. Its clean, minimalist design echoes Germany’s interwar period geometric style.
Even hours are marked with sans-serif Arabic numerals, while odd hours are indicated by small metallic dots. A printed minutes track features bolder markers at each hour. The hands are elegantly simple: narrow pointed bars for hours and minutes, and a slender needle hand with a small counterbalance for seconds.
The only inscriptions on the dial are Hanhart’s vintage script logo and a discreet “Made in Germany” below six o’clock, reinforcing the watch’s homage to the simplicity of the 1920s and 1930s.
Powering the Silva is the Soprod SOP P024 automatic movement (TOP grade), renowned for its precision and reliability. This three-hand, date-free caliber oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a 38-hour power reserve. It features a Glucydur balance wheel, Incabloc shock protection, and hacking seconds for precise time setting. The skeletonized rotor, engraved with the Hanhart logo, can be admired through the sapphire caseback, highlighting the brand’s commitment to craftsmanship.
On the wrist, the Silva offers comfort and versatility. It comes on a black or dark-brown calfskin strap, Alcantara-lined for added comfort, secured by a pin buckle bearing Hanhart’s historic logo, or alternatively, on a Milanese steel bracelet.
The Hanhart Silva is priced at €990, approximately 5,100 AED.
