Dive Watches with Sun and Moon Inspired Dials
Founded in 2019 by Martin Cloukey, the Sherpa brand takes its name from the Sherpa region in Nepal. Located near the Himalayas, the brand designs its watches to withstand extreme conditions. Its models are distinguished by their unique character, particularly their double-crown cases. Sherpa has introduced several collections in various styles, including diving and sports watches. Today, we are presenting the latest releases, the Ultradive Moon and Ultradive Sun watches.
Both of the watches come with a polished stainless steel case featuring an innovative EPSA-STOP bayonet compressor closing system, ensuring exceptional durability. Each model measures 40 mm in diameter and 13.5 mm in thickness, with a lug-to-lug span of 49.3 mm, perfectly balancing elegance and robustness. They offer impressive water resistance of up to 200 meters, making them ideal for aquatic adventures. Additionally, the proprietary MONOFLEX compressor crowns, handcrafted by Sherpa Watches, are positioned at 2 and 4 o'clock, while the domed sapphire box glass includes an internal anti-reflex coating for enhanced clarity and scratch protection.
The Moon features a stunning silver dial that conveys a sense of understated elegance, while the Sun boasts a warm rose gold dial, giving each watch a distinct character. Despite these differences, both watches share many similarities. They feature a curved dial with a subtle sunray finish, enhanced by a galvanic coating silver for the Moon and rose gold for the Sun. Each watch is adorned with indices embellished with cut diamond edges that create a shimmering effect Interspersed with a minute track and date window at 3 o'clock, complemented by mirror-like hands. Both models include an internal diving bezel operated by the top crown, contributing to an overall elegant appearance that makes them among the most sophisticated diving watches available. Additionally, both watches utilize Super-LumiNova X1 for their luminescent indices and hands, forming a unique diamond shape at night. Furthermore, the hands of both watches feature a faceted design, which enhances their refined aesthetic.
Both versions are powered by the Mantramatic MM01, based on Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement from the premium (Top) range, showcasing decoration on both sides and a gilt finish. It features a custom rotor and boasts a power reserve of 38 hours. Additionally, it is the world’s first and only watch with a “spiritual complication,” incorporating two micro Tibetan Buddhist prayer wheels. The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz).
The watches come with four options of Tropic Style straps, made of rubber. These straps are available in black, white, olive green, and orange. And priced at EUR 6,500 equivalent to AED 26,000 for the silver dial version, and EUR 6,600 equivalent to AED 26,400 for the rose gold dial version.
