Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

Inspired by the North America Nebula and created exclusively for the U.S. market
Seiko’s purpose-driven watches span everything from accessible daily wear to serious professional instruments. While the brand is often associated with value-driven timepieces, its history and in-house expertise allow it to operate comfortably at a much higher level when required, drawing on the same technical foundations that support Grand Seiko and Credor.

At the top of that hierarchy sits the Prospex LX collection, a range that pushes materials, finishing, and movements beyond what is typically expected from the Seiko name. The latest addition to this line is the Prospex LX GMT U.S. Special Edition, a model created exclusively for the American market and distinguished by an aesthetic inspired by the North America Nebula.

The watch is housed in a titanium case treated with a super-hard coating for improved scratch resistance. It measures 44.8 mm in diameter with a substantial thickness of 14.7 mm, giving it a strong wrist presence consistent with the Prospex LX identity. The use of titanium helps offset the size by keeping weight in check, while rose-gold-tone accents add a touch of luxury. The case features a screw-down construction that reinforces its tool-watch credentials, while water resistance is rated to 100 meters.

The dial features a textured surface and a striking gradient that transitions from deep brown to black, echoing the colors of the North America Nebula as it fades into the darkness of space. Applied indices and all four hands are filled with LumiBrite for strong legibility in low-light conditions. A rose-gold-tone GMT hand stands out clearly against the darker background, while a date window and power-reserve indicator add functional depth without overwhelming the layout.

Powering the watch is Seiko’s Spring Drive GMT movement, calibre 5R66. This automatic movement combines mechanical energy with a quartz regulator, resulting in exceptional precision of approximately ±15 seconds per month while remaining fully mechanically driven. It operates at a frequency equivalent to 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of around 72 hours, which can be monitored directly on the dial.
The watch is fitted with a matching titanium bracelet, finished to complement the case and secured by a folding clasp with push-button release. The price is set at USD 6,600, approximately AED 24,300.
