Updated Design Inspired by the Brand’s First Chronograph Watch
The Seiko Presage Style 60s collection has firmly established itself as a modern classic within the Japanese brand’s lineup. Inspired by the 1964 Crown Chronograph, the brand’s first chronograph and a watch created for the Tokyo Olympics when Seiko served as the official timekeeper—the collection delivers vintage flair and casual sophistication at accessible prices.
The familiar Style 60s case design draws directly from the historic Crown Chronograph, maintaining a compact and wearable profile. Now, Seiko introduces a fresh round of updates to the Presage Style 60s, unveiling three new references, each distinguished by vibrant color schemes and subtle refinements to the dial layout.

The case dimensions remain unchanged from last year’s editions, measuring 39.5mm in diameter and 12mm in thickness. A Hardlex box-shaped crystal protects the dial, while a see-through caseback offers a glimpse of the movement. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
One notable update lies in the bezel. Now fixed and crafted from aluminum, it features a 60-minute scale and is available in three different colors—green, grey, or brown—perfectly complementing the new dials.
The dials themselves are the centerpiece of this update. Beyond the fresh color palette, they now showcase a horizontal brushed texture with a more pronounced finish, replacing the previous smooth, sunray-brushed aesthetic. Additionally, the ring beneath the hour markers has been reworked into a grooved design, adding extra depth and dimension to the display. Despite these changes, the overall dial layout remains faithful to Seiko's 1960s chronograph spirit.
The three new dial colors are Golden Yellow, Silvery Violet, and Ice Green. A white date window is positioned at 6 o'clock, while applied hour indices sit on the concave grooved ring. The central part of the dial features luminous dots for nighttime legibility, and a black printed minute track encircles the outer section.
Powering the new Presage Style 60s models is Seiko’s in-house 4R35 automatic calibre, an entry-level movement known for its reliability. It operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz), offers a 40-hour power reserve, and delivers an accuracy of +45/-35 seconds per day.
As for the straps, the Golden Yellow edition is paired with a brown leather strap, while the Silvery Violet and Ice Green models are fitted with stainless steel bracelets. All three are secured by folding clasps with push-button releases.
Each new Presage Style 60s model is priced at GBP 500, which is approximately AED 2,445.
