A new GMT 1902 model with silver and blue dials
Schwarz Etienne is one of the long-standing names in Swiss independent watchmaking, with a history dating back to 1902. The brand has built its identity on full in-house expertise, from movement conception to final assembly, and is known for its refined craftsmanship and contemporary interpretation of traditional watchmaking.

After the release of the 1902 Petite Seconde and the 1902 Réserve de Marche, Schwarz Etienne now expands the 1902 collection with the 1902 GMT, designed for modern travellers who appreciate fine Swiss craftsmanship. The new model is available in two versions, one with a blue dial and one with a silver dial.

The watch is housed in a Grade 5 titanium case that measures 39 mm in diameter and 10.90 mm in thickness. Grade 5 titanium is lightweight, corrosion resistant and strong, giving the watch a comfortable presence on the wrist. The case design balances polished and brushed finishes, with a polished bezel, brushed lugs and polished flanks. The crown also features the same mixed finishes and carries the Schwarz Etienne logo. A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the beautifully decorated mechanical calibre, and the case offers a water resistance of 50 meters.

The dial comes in blue or silver, both featuring an intricate play of textures and depth. The center has a velvety grained finish, surrounded by a GMT hour ring that is opaline on the silver version and circular satin finished on the blue version. Lance style hands indicate local time, while a prominent GMT hand allows the wearer to read a second time zone at a glance. The small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock features an azurage finish, along with a railway minute track accented with subtle touches of red.

Powering the watch is the in-house ASE 320.00 automatic movement, which is equipped with a micro rotor. It runs at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 86 hours. The movement is decorated with sandblasted and rhodium treated surfaces, polished bevels, circular Côtes de Genève on the bridges, a sunray finished ratchet wheel and a micro rotor engraved with a chevron pattern inspired by the pine forests of La Chaux-de-Fonds.

The watch is fitted with a blue alligator strap lined with black rubber for added durability. It is secured with a Grade 5 titanium pin buckle engraved with the brand's logo. The price is CHF 21,500, which is approximately AED 99,200.
