Sartory-Billard unveils the SB04-E Exquisite Blue Guilloché, a creation born from a collaboration with Exquisite Timepieces, the exclusive retailer representing the independent watchmaker in the state of Florida, USA. This limited edition celebrates the timeless elegance of the guilloché artistry crafted by Armand Billard in his workshop in the French region of Saint-Croix.

For more than two centuries, guilloché has embodied the perfect harmony between art and mathematics in watchmaking. Originating in 18th-century Europe, the technique was initially reserved for royal artifacts and fine jewelry before finding its most refined expression in horology. Sartory-Billard is committed to preserving this heritage—and reinterpreting it with a contemporary vision. In its Saint-Croix workshop, traditional motifs are brought back to life through modern CNC engraving techniques, transforming metal into a surface that interacts with light and motion. The blue gradient adds a modern touch to this historical craft, while each watch is assembled by hand by Armand in France.

As part of the SB04-E line, this limited edition retains the collection’s elegant case design. Crafted from 316L stainless steel, the case measures 39.5 mm in diameter, 10.3 mm in thickness, and 46 mm lug-to-lug. It consists of three parts: a large polished bezel with a concave profile that reflects light and its surroundings, visually reducing the watch’s thickness; a satin-finished case middle; and a decorated caseback. The case is water-resistant to 100 meters. As a unique touch, a luminous coating has been applied to the crown and to select dial components.

The outer ring of the dial features a breathtaking blue gradient, shifting from deep navy to pale sky, meticulously engraved to catch and scatter light with every wrist movement.

At the center, a crisp white guilloché dial offers a serene, radiant backdrop that enhances the interplay of depth, texture, and color. Hovering above this landscape is the SB04-E’s signature ultra-thin, anti-reflective sapphire ring, carrying the indexes without obscuring the guilloché beneath.

Even-numbered markers are diamond-cut and polished, while the odd numbers are delicately pad-printed in Sartory-Billard’s signature Y-pattern.

The hour and minute hands are brushed and filled with BGW9 Super-LumiNova, glowing turquoise in low light. A slender, perfectly balanced seconds hand sweeps gracefully across the dial, tracing a silent path over the engraved surface.

As with previous editions, the watch is powered by the automatic G101 caliber from Swiss manufacturer La Joux-Perret. The movement offers a power reserve of 68 hours and operates at a frequency of 4 Hz. Both the tungsten rotor and the bridges are decorated with Côtes de Genève patterns, adding an aesthetic touch to the movement.

Each piece is delivered with a supple white rubber strap and a metal bracelet, both equipped with quick-release systems for effortless switching.

The Sartory-Billard SB04-E “Exquisite Blue Guilloché” is limited to just 25 pieces and available exclusively through Exquisite Timepieces. It is priced at USD 6,400, approximately 23,500 AED.
