A limited edition with a winter-inspired dial
Sartory Billard has emerged as one of the most expressive voices in contemporary independent watchmaking. Rather than competing through complications alone, the French atelier has carved out its identity through dial architecture, experimental surface treatments, and strictly limited productions that transform each watch into a visual statement.
The brand now introduces the SB04-E Winter 2026, a new edition within the SB04-E series that approaches the dial as a frozen landscape. Inspired by ice, depth, and stillness, the watch captures the quiet tension of winter through layered textures, and a restrained monochromatic palette. The watch is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39.5 mm in diameter. Polished surfaces frame the dial and enhance its visual character. A closed caseback secures the movement and provides water resistance rated at 100 meters.
The dial is built on a three-dimensional embossed base that recreates snowflake structures in relief. Over this sculpted surface, layers of paint and lacquer form a smoked gradient that shifts from ice blue at the edges to a soft white center. Roman numeral hour markers and all dial markings are treated with Super-LumiNova BGW9, ensuring a cool blue glow in low light. Diamond-cut hands filled with the same luminous material float above the textured surface.
Powering the watch is a Swiss-made La Joux-Perret automatic movement. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 68 hours. The watch is offered either on a white rubber strap or on a stainless steel bracelet.
