The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing RM 74-02 A Bold Balance of Gold and Quartz TPT

Richard Mille Redefines Technical Excellence and Luxury in the RM 74 Collection

Richard Mille introduces the newest member of its RM 74 collection, the RM 74-02 Automatic Tourbillon Gold Quartz TPT, a striking fusion of gold and the brand’s renowned Quartz TPT composite in white. Developed over several years in collaboration with North Thin Ply Technology (NTPT), this material exemplifies the brand’s commitment to innovation.

The RM 74 was first unveiled in 2021 with two options: the RM 74-01 Automatic Tourbillon in grey Cermet, which combines the lightness of titanium with the hardness of ceramic, and the RM 74-02 in Gold Carbon TPT, which merges gold’s brilliance with carbon’s resilience.

In this alchemical blend, the technical resilience of Quartz TPT intertwines with the allure of gold, creating a material that balances modern engineering with traditional craftsmanship. Gold Quartz TPT is born from a complex process: ultra-thin sheets of quartz fibers are stacked layer upon layer and then heated to 120°C at a pressure of 6 bars. The result is a creation both rugged and refined, with natural striations forming a unique visual tapestry. Within this structure, delicate leaves of 22-carat 5N pink gold are embedded, their warm glow shimmering through the translucent quartz.

The tripartite case measures 52.63 mm x 34.40 mm with a thickness of 13.05 mm and is water-resistant to 50 meters. The tonneau-shaped case is assembled with 20 grade 5 titanium spline screws.

The openworked dial of the watch showcases the intricate design of the movement, with chamfered edges and bridges made of gold. The baseplate and bridges of the RM 74-02 are machined from 18K 5N red gold and 18K 3N yellow gold, respectively, both microblasted and beveled by hand. The skeletonized baseplate and bridges were subjected to intensive validation tests to optimize their resistance capacities.

Powering the watch is the automatic Calibre CRMT5, the same movement seen in the RM S14 Talisman Origine created for the Only Watch 2024. This skeletonized movement beats at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 50 hours.

The rotor features a variable-geometry design incorporated within the in-house CRMT5 calibre, allowing adjustment according to the owner’s activity level. The setting is modified by repositioning the two movable weights and securing them with spline screws. When the weights are closer together, the movement’s inertia increases, causing the barrel to rewind more quickly. If the weights are positioned at the extremities of the rotor, inertia decreases, and the barrel winds more slowly.

The new watch comes with a white textile strap featuring a black interior and is secured with a gold buckle. The price is available upon request.
