Distinctive Dial Created in Collaboration with the brand's Japanese agent Shellman
With the start of the new year, Swiss luxury watchmaker Raymond Weil introduced the “Millesime Burgundy” watch, a tribute to the Chinese Year of the Snake. This elegant release captured the essence of the Chinese zodiac, blending fine craftsmanship with cultural symbolism. Today, Raymond Weil returns with an updated version of this remarkable watch, introducing the “Millesime Shellman Limited Edition”, featuring new color variations that breathe fresh life into the collection. The Millesime collection, initially launched in 2023, has been praised for its sophisticated design and precise Swiss engineering. The Millesime Shellman Limited Edition, crafted in collaboration with the Japanese retailer Shellman, retains the same geometric dial design but incorporates subtle tweaks that reflect the attention to detail cherished by Japanese watch enthusiasts, adding a unique touch to this already exceptional timepiece.
The watch features a meticulously crafted 39.5mm diameter and 9.25mm thick stainless steel case, expertly polished and brushed for a refined, sophisticated look. Both the front and back are protected by a sapphire crystal, offering exceptional clarity and durability while ensuring resistance to scratches. The case is further distinguished by a notched crown, engraved with the iconic Raymond Weil logo, adding a signature touch, and offers 50m of water resistance.
Combining elegance and functionality, the Millesime Shellman Limited Edition dial features a 'champagne gold' color that enhances its appeal. The 'sector' design of the dial is accentuated by various surface finishes applied to each segment. The dial is framed by three concentric rings, the outer ring displays the seconds scale, the middle ring features the minute track, and the inner ring shows the hour indices. At the center, the hour and minute hands are filled with Super-LumiNova for improved visibility in low light, complemented by a needle-shaped seconds hand.
The watch is powered by the automatic RW4200 movement, based on the reliable ETA 2824. With a power reserve of 41 hours and a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz), it offers both efficiency, making it a solid choice for daily wear.
It comes with a brown calfskin leather strap and is limited to just 30 pieces, priced at JPY 308,000 approximately AED 7,300.
