The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Rado Adds a New Trio to The True Square collection

Using the brand’s innovative Plasma High-Tech Ceramic

Rado, established in 1917, is a member of the Swatch Group. The brand is renowned for its ceramic watches, with one of its most notable innovations being Plasma High-Tech Ceramic. This material combines the scratch resistance and durability of ceramic with the elegant appearance of metal, without using any metal at all. Through an innovative process, Rado enhances the ceramic with carbon, giving the watch a distinctive metallic sheen.

A prime example of this is the creation of Plasma High-Tech Ceramic, a material that combines the durability and scratch resistance of high-tech ceramic with the sleek appearance of metal, without using any metal at all. Through an innovative process, Rado enriches ceramic components with carbon, giving them a distinct metallic sheen that is both striking and sophisticated.

For 2025, Rado takes this material further with the introduction of three new models in its True Square collection. These watches feature a fresh take on the brand's iconic square design, incorporating matte-finished Plasma High-Tech Ceramic for the first time. The new models come in two colour options: titanium and black, alongside a third black variant paired with a rubber strap for a sportier feel. Each timepiece measures 38mm in diameter with a slim 9.7mm profile, and an overall lug-to-lug measurement of 44.2mm. The dial is protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, ensuring optimal legibility.

The skeletonized dial showcases the movement’s components, with indices and hands treated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in low light. The transparent casebacks reveal the Caliber R808, an automatic movement based on the ETA C07.901. This movement operates at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offers an 80-hour power reserve. The watches are priced between USD 2,500 / AED 9,200 and USD 3,000 / AED 11,000.
