On the occasion of the 2023 Men's Cricket World Cup, Reservoir presents RESERVOIR X POPEYE CRICKET
Reservoir is a unique and innovative watch brand that was founded in 2017 by François Moreau, this French watchmaking house has gained recognition for their unique and radical way of displaying time. Instead of traditional watch hands, they use rotating discs, retrograde displays to indicate hours, minutes, and seconds. This creative approach to timekeeping is a defining feature of the brand.

In 2022, Reservoir collaborated with Label Noir, a company known for its expertise in personalizing luxury watches, and they unveiled a captivating limited edition timepiece featuring Popeye, the beloved fictional character, a rugged sailor known for his incredible strength, his affinity for spinach, and his adventures. Now, the brand pays tribute to the essence of the 2023 Men's Cricket World Cup and the spirit of Popeye, introducing the new RESERVOIR X POPEYE CRICKET timepiece, which captures the very essence of the competition that cricket ignites in every corner of India.

Popeye has captured the affection of millions ever since his introduction on the 17th January 1929, in the Thimble Theatre. Across generations, he remains a cherished symbol of determination, resilience, and courage. The RESERVOIR X POPEYE CRICKET watch beautifully encapsulates the adventurous essence of Popeye, celebrating his enduring spirit and adventurous nature.

The Reservoir X Popeye watch features a 41.5mm brushed 316L stainless steel case and a screw-down crown, providing water resistance up to 50 meters. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal safeguards the artistic portrayal of Popeye, who is situated within a cricket stadium, holding a cricket bat in his right hand, while his other arm serves as a retrograde minute hand. White Arabic numerals encircle the upper dial, indicating the minutes, while the jumping hours are displayed in a window at 6 o'clock.

Powering this timepiece is the Caliber RSV-240 based on LJP-G100, a manufactured self-winding mechanical movement, that is developed in a collaboration with TELOS, a company that specializes in watch mechanism development. It offers a 56-hour power reserve and operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz). Examining the open case-back, we can spot Popeye's character glass paint along with two bats and a red ball
