Introducing Perrelet Unveils the Weekend Malachite Edition

Launched in 2017, the Weekend collection was conceived by Perrelet as a refined expression of classic, minimalist watchmaking, offering an elegant alternative to the brand’s emblematic Turbine and Double Rotor lines. Designed to meet the expectations of a broader audience, the collection has evolved through multiple interpretations since its debut.

Initially offered with conventional dials in silver, black, blue, and anthracite, the Weekend line gradually embraced contemporary trends, introducing brighter and more vibrant colours. In 2025, the collection entered a new chapter with its first hard-stone dial in a time-only execution: the Weekend Aventurine. Building on the success of that creation, the Swiss Maison continues its exploration of natural stone dials with the unveiling of the new Weekend Malachite.

Distinguished by vibrant hues ranging from light to deep green, the malachite dial takes centre stage. Its alternating bands of light and dark green veining ensure that each piece is entirely unique. The slender applied rhodium-plated indices, with double batons at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, and the faceted dauphine-style hands create a refined contrast against the rich green background. A silver-framed date window at 3 o’clock displays black Arabic numerals on a white disc, maintaining both legibility and visual harmony.

As with previous editions, the watch features a polished and brushed stainless steel case measuring 39 mm in diameter and 9.56 mm in thickness. This well-balanced profile suits both men and women, perfectly aligning with the collection’s unisex ethos. The flowing lines and alternating finishes enhance its elegant character. On the reverse, a screwed caseback fitted with a mineral glass porthole reveals the decorated movement inside, while water resistance is rated at 50 metres.

Powering the Weekend Malachite is an automatic movement produced by SOPROD, part of a distinguished cluster of six Swiss watchmaking companies owned by Spanish entrepreneur Miguel Rodríguez, who also owns Perrelet and the Festina Group. At its heart beats the Perrelet calibre P-321, a time-and-date movement operating at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offering a power reserve of 42 hours. The solid oscillating weight, mounted on ball bearings, ensures smooth rotation and efficient energy transmission. The movement is finished with circular-grained bridges, sunray motifs, and an openworked oscillating mass adorned with the Perrelet logo.

The watch is fitted with an ergonomically designed stainless steel bracelet secured by a folding clasp, ensuring excellent comfort on the wrist. Composed of seven links per row with alternating polished and satin finishes, the bracelet enhances the model’s refined appeal. The Weekend Malachite is also delivered with an additional calf leather strap embossed with an alligator pattern and crafted in the same rich green tone as the dial, secured by a steel pin buckle. Thanks to a practical quick-release system, the straps can be effortlessly interchanged.

The Perrelet Weekend Malachite is priced at CHF 1,590, equivalent to approximately AED 7,590.
