Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

Expanding the brand classic collection with an blue aventurine dial
Perrelet is widely acknowledged as the creator of the world’s first self-winding movement, and even the earliest pedometer. Today, the brand is celebrated for its distinctive “animated” dials and in-house automatic calibres, particularly those featuring its signature Turbine technology. Since joining the Festina Group in 2004, Perrelet has been able to vertically integrate its production, thanks to access to SOPROD’s six manufacturing sites, which also belong to the Festina Group.
In 2019, the brand introduced the Weekend collection, offering classically styled dress watches. This year, Perrelet adds a new twist with the Weekend Aventurine, a refined addition that elevates the line through the use of a rarely seen dial material.
The watch features a polished and brushed stainless steel case measuring 39mm in diameter and 9.56mm in thickness. This elegant profile strikes a balanced proportion suited to both men and women, aligning with the unisex ethos of the collection. The case’s flowing lines and lustrous surfaces enhance its dressy character. Around the back, a screwed caseback with a mineral glass porthole reveals the decorated movement inside.
The natural blue aventurine dial sparkles like stars against a midnight sky. Silvered baton indices, doubled at 6 and 12 o’clock, maintain a clean aesthetic, while new dauphine-style hour and minute hands add a touch of modernity. A discreet date window at 3 o’clock rounds out the dial’s functionality.
Inside, the watch is powered by Perrelet’s in-house automatic calibre P-321, developed by SOPROD. It beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The timepiece comes fitted with a midnight-blue calfskin strap with an alligator motif, featuring a quick-release system and a pin buckle.
The Weekend Aventurine joins the permanent collection at a price of CHF 1,490 (approximately AED 6,600) and is available through authorised retailers and the brand’s official e-commerce platforms in Europe and the United States.
