The famous French artist added his distinctive touch to the iconic turbine
Perrelet is one of the oldest Swiss watch brands, with a history dating back to 1777. The brand is renowned as the pioneer of the first self-winding movement. However, in modern times, Perrelet is best known for its iconic Turbine collection, which has evolved over the years with various creative touches, like the Turbine Snake Edition, and the Turbine Urban Skeleton. For its latest releases, Perrelet is collaborating with French artist seconde/seconde/ to launch the Turbine Perrelet x seconde/seconde/, a limited edition of just 25 pieces.
The artist added his touches to Perrelet’s signature turbine design with a playful twist, replacing the central seconds hand with a yellow triangle that mimics a "Safety First" sign, suggesting that you shouldn’t touch the turbine on the dial. Additionally, the dial features the humorous inscription "1777 days since last injury," a nod to the brand's founding year. The caseback includes another play of words from the artist that reads, "I sincerely love art. But it will always come second. Safety first."

The watch features a grade 2 titanium case coated in black DLC, and measuring 41 mm in diameter and 13.90 mm in thickness. The design includes a flat, polished bezel and a brushed caseband, adorned with Perrelet’s signature vertical grooves. The dial is protected by a sapphire crystal with double anti-reflective coating, and the caseback also features the same glass.

A defining feature of the Turbine collection are the 12 black anodized aluminum turbine blades that dominate the dial, spinning with every movement of the wrist. The dial also includes white Arabic numerals and embossed hour markers, with central hour and minute hands coated in Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in all lighting conditions.
Powering this limited edition timepiece is Perrelet’s in-house P-331-MH calibre, an automatic movement operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) with a 42-hour power reserve. The movement is COSC-certified, ensuring high accuracy and reliability.
The watch is paired with a black rubber strap, secured with a DLC-coated titanium pin buckle engraved with the Perrelet logo. It is priced at CHF 5,180, approximately AED 21,200.
