An elegant time-only release, introducing the French brand’s second in-house calibre
The French haute horlogerie manufacturer Pequignet expands its iconic Royale Paris collection with a new time-only edition. Retaining the model’s distinctive design language, this latest release introduces a new manual-winding movement, marking the second in-house calibre developed by the brand.
Completely redesigned in 2025, the Royale Paris stands out through its sculptural case architecture, where every detail has been treated with meticulous care. The combination of polished and satin-brushed surfaces creates a refined interplay of textures and depth, reinforcing the watch’s strong visual identity.
The stainless-steel case measures 39.5 mm in diameter, 11.5 mm in thickness (including the box-shaped sapphire crystal), and approximately 47 mm lug-to-lug. Its sculpted profile features a distinctive concave, “gouge”-shaped recess, a motif echoed on the dial. The applied lugs—an unmistakable signature of the Royale Paris collection—have been subtly refined, with a brushed upper surface and polished flanks.
The silver dial showcases an architectural and highly distinctive design, defined by a circular groove around the perimeter and a small-seconds subdial positioned at 6 o’clock. The central area is finely grained, while the small-seconds display features a fully snailed finish. Polished steel hour and minute hands are coated with Super-LumiNova TC1, emitting a blue glow in low light, while the small-seconds hand is crafted from blued steel.
Powering the timepiece is the Calibre Royal Manuel, Pequignet’s second manufacture movement. Designed to enable a slimmer case profile, it delivers an impressive 100-hour power reserve. The movement is equipped with a large balance wheel fitted with compensating screws and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz).
The watch is paired with a brown calf-leather interchangeable strap and secured by a stainless-steel folding clasp. As with all Royale Paris models, this manual-winding version features an interchangeable strap system, offering a high degree of personalization.
The Pequignet Royale Paris Manual 39.5 mm is priced at EUR 3,900, equivalent to approximately AED 16,700.
