The French brand Pequignet continues to evolve its iconic Royale Paris collection. Following the recent redesign of the line and the introduction of a more contemporary 39.5 mm case, the brand now adds a fresh new variant: the Royale Paris Icy Blue. This new version features an icy-blue dial, lending a fresh, frosty elegance to this Day-Date-Moonphase model. The delicate tone evokes the pure beauty of the Jura Mountains in winter, while preserving the technical architecture that defines the watch.

The case remains unchanged from the latest generation of the Royale Paris. This new Royale Paris Icy Blue 39.5 mm features the signature extended lugs—an iconic hallmark of Pequignet, and a slim bezel secured by screws. The stainless steel case combines polished and satin-finished surfaces and measures 39.5 mm in diameter with a thickness of 11.5 mm, including the box-type sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment.
The crown is embossed with the fleur-de-lys emblem, while a discreet corrector for the moon phase is positioned at 8:30. The sapphire caseback, secured by six screws, reveals the movement, while water resistance is rated at 50 metres.
The icy-blue tone enhances the dial’s textures, highlighting its grained surface, sandblasted engravings, and fluted small-seconds subdial. The clarity of this slightly metallic blue also accentuates the various complications displayed on the dial.
The moon phase is shown through two apertures, offering a realistic view from both the Northern and Southern hemispheres. The twin moons receive a sparkling finish achieved through diamond polishing. The large date is displayed prominently at 12 o’clock through a double aperture, while the small-seconds subdial at 3:30 features a polished-satin finish framed by a snailed motif.
The large date and day displays are aligned on the same axis and feature an instantaneous jump, allowing adjustment at any time. All complications are integrated on a single main plate.
The power-reserve indicator is positioned at 8 o’clock, balancing the composition, while the moon-phase display at 6 o’clock completes the dial layout with its double aperture showing both hemispheres.
The polished steel hour and minute hands are treated with Super-LumiNova TC1 (blue emission), ensuring legibility in low-light conditions, while the seconds and power-reserve hands are rendered in polished steel.

Like all Royale Paris watches, this new model is powered by the prestigious Calibre Royal, Pequignet’s first in-house movement, with components sourced within an 80 km radius of the manufacture.
This automatic calibre retains the hallmarks that have made it a benchmark of French watchmaking while benefiting from improved reliability. Its single large barrel now delivers a 96-hour power reserve, an upgrade from the previous 88 hours. A large balance wheel oscillates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), ensuring steady performance.
Each calibre undergoes meticulous regulation to achieve chronometric precision, with an average daily rate between –4 and +6 seconds. The movement is finished with a sunray-decorated oscillating weight in rhodium plating incorporating a 3N fleur-de-lys motif.
The watch is paired with a grey nubuck leather strap secured by a stainless steel folding clasp and features a practical strap-interchangeability system.
The Pequignet Royale Paris Icy Blue 39.5 mm will join the brand’s permanent collection and is priced at EUR 8,000, approximately AED 34,000.
