A stunning, shiny enamel brown dial marks the first 5370 in rose gold
At the beginning of February 2025, Patek Philippe removed several models from its catalog, signaling the end of production for these models, thus paving the way for the release of new versions to replace them. As we mentioned in our previous article, it was expected that the upcoming "Watches & Wonders" exhibition would be the perfect occasion to unveil these new releases, just as has happened in previous years. Indeed, the 2025 edition of the exhibition revealed an impressive collection of 15 new models, replacing many of the discontinued releases and expanding several collections, such as the new releases from Cubitus.
Among the discontinued models, one stood out as an icon of the brand's creations: the Split-Second Chronograph reference 5370P-011 made of platinum. This model was first introduced in 2015, featuring a black dial with "Grand Feu Enamel" technique, before being replaced in 2020 by a model with a blue dial. With the latter being removed from the catalog, no version remained in the 5370 collection.
Now, just two months later, Patek Philippe has unveiled a new version of the Split-Second Chronograph reference 5370R at the Watches & Wonders 2025 exhibition. This is the brand's first model of this type made from rose gold, marking a significant evolution, as both previous versions were made of platinum, with either a black or blue dial.

The new 5370R features a 41 mm case with a thickness of 13.56 mm, retaining the classic rounded shape with rectangular pushers and finely grooved flanks. The case showcases an elegant combination of brushed and polished finishes and offers the option of a solid or sapphire crystal case back. In both configurations, it maintains a water resistance of 30 meters.
The dial, crafted from a rose gold base, captivates with its rich brown hue, achieved using the Grand Feu enamel technique. The subdials and tachymeter scale are executed in beige champlevé enamel, and all enamelled surfaces are meticulously polished to achieve a brilliant luster. The dial is adorned with applied rose gold Breguet numerals, while the 30-minute chronograph counter and small seconds sub-dial are symmetrically placed at 3 and 9 o’clock, respectively.
Rose gold is also used for the hands. The central hour and minute hands are filled with luminous material that harmonizes with the beige tone of the subdials, while the two central split-seconds chronograph hands are slender and sharply defined.
At the heart of the watch beats the in-house manual-winding caliber CHR 29-535 PS, a split-seconds chronograph movement composed of 312 components. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a robust power reserve of 65 hours.

The movement features a traditional architecture, with a dual column-wheel and a horizontal clutch. Additionally, Patek Philippe regulates the caliber to an accuracy of -3/+2 seconds per day. Each component is meticulously hand-finished, in keeping with the brand’s long-standing tradition of exceptional craftsmanship in its grand complication movements.
The watch is paired with a shiny dark brown alligator leather strap with square scales in a rich chestnut hue. It is secured by Patek Philippe’s newly patented rose gold triple-blade fold-over clasp. The timepiece is priced at USD 288,700, which is approximately equivalent to 1,060,000 AED.
