A First for the Aquanaut, White Gold Dual Time Zone edition
Patek Philippe introduced the first Aquanaut, the Ref. 5060A, was in 1997. A decade later, in 2007, the 10th anniversary of the Aquanaut was marked by a complete update of the collection, setting the direction for all future models. And yes, of course, the Aquanaut used the famous design Gerald Genta created 20 years before its inception for its predecessor, the Nautilus.
Now, on the occasion of Watch and Wonders, Patek Philippe releases a new reference of its popular Aquanaut Travel Time in white gold for the first time. The Aquanaut Travel Time, with GMT function, was first launched in 2011 as a steel model with a black dial. It was reinterpreted in 2016 as a rose gold version with a brown dial. Now, it comes in white gold with a blue opaline dial.

Crafted from white gold with dimensions measuring 40.8mm in diameter and 10.2mm in thickness, this timepiece boasts a rounded octagonal bezel with contrasting polished and satin-finishes, emphasizing their elegant design. With a screw-down crown and a water resistance of 30 meters, Its sapphire crystal case back offers a glimpse into the intricate mechanics within, The pushers of time Adjustment are on the left side, while the date corrector on the right side.

The dial of this exquisite timepiece captivates with its opaline blue-gray hue, adorned with Aquanaut's famous pattern. Its elegance is further accentuated by white gold applied White gold applied arabic numerals, each coated with luminous material for enhanced readability in low-light conditions. Complementing these markers are white gold rounded baton-style hands, also coated with luminescent material. Positioned at 6 o'clock is a Date indicated by hand, coupled with local time, a minute track surrounded all of the dial.
The skeletonized hand displays home time, while the solid hand indicates local time. Day/night indications in apertures for local and home time.
Beneath the sapphire crystal caseback lies the automatic movement Caliber 26-330 S C FUS. Featuring a two-time zone function, it delivers uncompromising performance for accurately timing events, seamlessly blending excellent legibility with user-friendly operation. Merely pressing one of the two pushers on the left-hand side of the case allows you to advance (lower pusher) or reverse (upper pusher) the solid local time hand.
With dimensions of 31mm and 4.82mm in thickness, this movement comprises 270 components, including a 21K gold central rotor. Operating at a frequency of 28,800 semi-oscillations per hour (4Hz), it ensures precise timekeeping, supported by a power reserve of 45 hours.
The watch comes with an integrated blue-gray composite strap featuring the Aquanaut pattern and a patented white gold fold-over clasp. The new white gold Aquanaut Travel Time Reference 5164G-001 joins the 5164R-001 in rose gold, while the 5164A-001 in steel is being discontinued from the collection. It is priced at EUR 62,600, which is equivalent to 250,000 AED.
