Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

A stainless steel chronograph inspired by one of Switzerland’s most iconic valleys
Parmigiani Fleurier introduces a new interpretation within the TONDA PF Sport collection: the TONDA PF Sport Chronograph Silver Verzasca. Its name evokes Switzerland’s Verzasca Valley, a singular landscape where alpine mineral clarity meets light of rare purity.
Between rugged relief and a gentle climate, the region reveals a natural harmony that feels almost architectural. At its heart flows the Verzasca River, famed for its crystalline waters. Running over granite rocks polished by millennia of erosion, it captures and reflects shifting sunlight with remarkable intensity. A kind of Alpine Riviera, where spectacular nature meets understated elegance and a culture shaped by outdoor living. Rather than attempting to replicate this landscape, the watch translates its balance, an art of living where precision, movement, and contemplation converge.
The new, more compact 40mm stainless steel case measures 12.9 mm in thickness. The design language remains consistent, preserving the collection’s signature elements. A screw-down crown ensures 100 metres of water resistance, while the knurled bezel, no longer rendered in platinum, marks a subtle evolution. Alternating polished and brushed surfaces lend the case a dynamic presence.
The dial of this new timepiece is adorned in a silver hue with a blue “Verzasca” subdials. the main dial features a hand-guilloché finish with the signature Grain d’Orge pattern, which has become synonymous with the brand. The flange surrounding the dial, as well as the sub-dial rings, are sandblasted, offering a subtle contrast.
Hand-applied 18-carat gold rhodium-plated indices continue the refined design language, while the hour and minute hands are crafted from 18-carat gold, rhodium-plated, and skeletonized in a delta shape. Complementing these are the rhodium-plated steel hands for the chronograph and small seconds, maintaining a cohesive and elegant look.
The 30-minute counter and 12-hour chronograph counters are positioned horizontally at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock, with the running seconds located at 6 o'clock. hands and indices are coated with a black luminescent.
Powering the watch is the automatic caliber PF070, the same movement used in the previous editions. Made in-house and COSC-certified, this integrated chronograph movement boasts an impressive 65-hour power reserve and operates at a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz). The movement’s aesthetics are enhanced by satin-finished, open-worked bridges with hand-bevelled edges, and a stunning 22-carat rose gold oscillating weight that is skeletonized, polished, and sandblasted, adding a luxurious touch to the watch.
The rubber strap reflects a thoughtful exploration of contemporary materials applied to traditional craftsmanship. Its multi-layer construction draws inspiration from fine saddlery techniques: a rubber base coated with a textile-effect surface, reinforced by a structural intermediate layer, and finished with an outer layer that adds depth and sophistication. A tear-resistant technical membrane is integrated between these layers, giving the strap its gently curved profile. It is secured by a stainless steel folding clasp.
