Introducing Parmigiani Fleurier Unveils the Tonda PF Automatic 36mm Deep Ruby

Parmigiani Fleurier introduces a captivating new iteration within its celebrated Tonda PF collection, the Tonda PF Automatic 36mm in Steel and Rose Gold. Distinguished by its Deep Ruby dial, this model builds on the success of its award-winning predecessor, which received the prestigious Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) prize in 2022.

Joining the smallest editions of the Tonda PF, the new 36mm reference responds to growing demand for a more compact, unisex case size. The result is a refined study in material contrast and chromatic depth, blending the cool strength of stainless steel with the warm glow of 18-carat rose gold and the understated brilliance of diamonds. It preserves the collection’s signature design codes while introducing a color palette that feels both assertive and sophisticated.

The 36mm diameter of the case is a deliberate choice, catering to enthusiasts who favor classically proportioned watches. With a slender 8.6mm thickness, it sits low and comfortably on the wrist. The construction harmoniously combines stainless steel for the main body and 18-carat rose gold for the distinctive knurled bezel. The case surfaces feature a dynamic interplay of satin-brushed and polished finishes, accentuating the flowing lines characteristic of the Tonda PF design. The lugs, for instance, display polished upper facets that transition smoothly into brushed sides.

Water-resistant to 100 meters, the watch is fitted with a screw-down crown crafted from 18-carat rose gold, echoing the knurled motif of the bezel for enhanced grip. A sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective ARunic coating ensures exceptional clarity, while the sapphire case back reveals the beautifully decorated movement within.

The dial’s Deep Ruby hue embodies modern sophistication, a rich burgundy tone that evokes passion, creativity, and refined taste. Deep cherry shades such as this are celebrated among connoisseurs for their ability to infuse classical aesthetics with contemporary boldness. Executed with remarkable artisanal finesse, the dial features a finely guilloché Grain d’Orge motif that captures and reflects light in a mesmerizing play of tones with every movement.

Encircling the dial is a brushed minutes track with white printed markings that guide the eye toward the central guilloché section, where applied indices and the Parmigiani Fleurier logo take prominence. The hands, crafted from 18-carat rose gold, adopt the brand’s signature skeletonized delta shape. The indices are adorned with rhodium-plated appliques set with 12 baguette-cut diamonds, totaling approximately 0.36 carats. These gemstones are of exceptional quality, graded D–G in color and IF–VVS in clarity.

Powering the watch is the Calibre PF770, an in-house automatic movement operating at 28,000 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offering a 60-hour power reserve. Comprising 179 components, it features a beautifully finished 22k rose gold skeletonized rotor visible through the exhibition case back.

Completing the design is an integrated bracelet, conceived as a seamless extension of the case. The bracelet alternates stainless steel and 18-carat rose gold links, with solid rose gold central links framed by satin-brushed steel elements, a combination that enhances both visual balance and tactile luxury. It is secured by a robust stainless steel folding clasp.

The Tonda PF Automatic 36mm Steel Rose Gold Deep Ruby is part of the brand’s regular collection, not a limited edition, and is priced at CHF 32,300, equivalent to approximately AED 148,850.
