Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

The first bronze model to join the Luminor Marina collection
Panerai is known for its robust tool watches shaped by decades of service to the Italian Navy. The brand’s identity is deeply connected to the sea, where function, reliability, and clarity have always been core priorities. Over the years, Panerai’s material innovations and strong design language have helped it evolve from a military supplier into one of the most distinctive luxury watchmakers in the world. This spirit continues in the Luminor Marina collection, a line that carries the essence of Panerai’s modern tool-watch engineering, as seen in the PAM01759, PAM01697, and PAM01698.

In its latest releases, the brand is launching the Luminor Marina Bronzo PAM01678, marking an important expansion of the collection. It brings bronze into the Luminor Marina family for the first time.

The watch comes in a 44 mm bronze case built for endurance. It measures 13.7 mm in thickness and follows the updated Luminor Marina proportions introduced earlier this year. Panerai uses a bronze alloy composed primarily of copper and tin, with a formulation designed to resist wear, maintain structural strength, and encourage the development of a natural protective patina. A titanium caseback fitted with a sapphire crystal offers a view of the movement. The watch is water resistant to 500 meters, and each piece is tested to withstand pressure 25% higher than the guaranteed depth.

The gradient blue dial reflects the shifting colors of the sea. It transitions from a darker shade at the edges to a lighter tone at the center and uses Panerai’s sandwich construction for depth and clarity. Beige Super-LumiNova fills the cutout Arabic numerals and hands for strong legibility in low light. A small seconds display at 9 o’clock maintains the classic look of the Luminor Marina.

Inside the watch is the automatic calibre P.980. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 3 days. The watch is delivered on a blue calfskin strap with beige stitching and a bronze buckle, and an additional blue rubber strap is included. The watch joins the permanent collection at a price of EUR 17,000, approximately AED 72,900.
