A new addition to the Complicazioni collection with a 10 days power reserve
Following Panerai’s Luna Rossa-focused campaign at this year's Watches and Wonders, which showcased a stunning collection of releases, we had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Alessandro Ficarelli, Panerai's Chief Marketing Officer. Notably, Panerai partnered again with the Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli team ahead of the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona and introduced a beautiful tourbillon watch. However, Panerai had even more in store.
Now, the brand unveils the new Luminor Dieci Giorni GMT, featuring an extended 10-day power reserve and a GMT complication, as part of the Complicazioni collection, which includes the brand's releases with high-end complications. The watch comes in a 44mm polished stainless steel case with the iconic cushion-shaped design and crown protector. The dial is safeguarded by a sapphire crystal, and the movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback.
The blue sunray sandwich dial consists of an upper plate layered over a solid bottom dial with hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova. The subdial at 9 o’clock serves as the small seconds and AM/PM indicator, featuring a bright orange arrow hand to distinguish between day and night hours. The dial is equipped with pencil-shaped hour and minute hands and an orange-tipped hand for the GMT function, and a date window positioned at 3 o’clock. Positioned at 6 o’clock, lies the linear power reserve indicator.
The watch is powered by the caliber P.2003, the first automatic movement developed by Panerai. It operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and features a seconds-reset mechanism when the crown is pulled. The standout feature of this movement is its impressive 10-day power reserve, as indicated by the watch's name "Dieci Giorni," which means 10 days in Italian.
