Honoring the Navy SEALs with robust & bold timepieces
Panerai initially made a name for itself by crafting specialized equipment for the Italian Navy. In the early 20th century, Panerai introduced the first underwater military watch, an essential tool for the Navy's frogmen during World War II. These robust timepieces, designed for extreme conditions, became iconic for their durability and precision. In the 1990s, Panerai opened its doors to the public, captivating watch enthusiasts with bold, distinctive designs. Building on this storied legacy, Panerai is now releasing four new novelties, each drawing aesthetic inspiration from desert camouflage.
The design elements uniting these four new Panerai Submersible novelties include the Navy SEALs decal positioned at 6 o’clock on the dial and a small seconds counter styled like a target, while the indexes are coated with sand-colored Super-LumiNova, enhancing legibility in low-light environments while adding to the watches' rugged appeal. The case back features an engraving of the official Navy SEALs logo.
The first watch in this release, the Submersible QuarantaQuattro Navy SEALs PAM01518, blends military toughness with the refined technical craftsmanship that defines Panerai. It features a 44mm brushed stainless steel case, a unidirectional rotating bezel, and a striking gradient dial that transitions from black to anthracite. The dial includes a small seconds sub-dial styled like a target at 9 o'clock, while the indexes are coated with sand-colored Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility. The case back features an engraving of the official Navy SEALs logo.
Powered by the P.900 automatic movement—measuring just 4.2 mm thick—it stands as one of Panerai's slimmest automatic calibers, offering a 3-day power reserve and operating at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz). The watch is paired with a bi-material strap, combining rubber and Camo AOR1 pattern textile, secured by a trapezoidal brushed steel pin buckle.
The second watch in this release is the Submersible QuarantaQuattro GMT Navy SEALs Carbotech PAM01513, which features a 44mm case made from Carbotech, a carbon fiber-based composite material developed by Panerai and previously seen in the Tourbillon GMT Luna Rossa Experience. The case is paired with a unidirectional rotating Carbotech bezel and a black DLC-coated screwed titanium case-back.
The gradient anthracite dial includes a date window at 3 o'clock and a GMT function, allowing for the display of a second time zone. This feature is ideal for tracking both home and local time simultaneously, with the GMT hand glowing in green Super-LumiNova for enhanced legibility in the dark. The watch is powered by the P.900/GMT calibre, an automatic movement offering a 3-day power reserve and operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz). It comes with a bi-material strap made of rubber and Camo AOR1 pattern textile, secured with a trapezoidal titanium DLC-coated pin buckle.
The third watch in this release is the Submersible Navy SEALs Titanio PAM01669, featuring a robust 47mm case crafted from brushed Grade 5 titanium, a material known for its impressive strength-to-weight ratio—40% lighter and 60% harder than steel. Enhancing the titanium case is a unidirectional rotating Carbotech bezel, while the dial offers a captivating gradient from black to anthracite, complemented by beige Super-LumiNova, a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock, and a date window at 3 o’clock.
Powering this timepiece is the automatic P.9010 calibre, delivering a 3-day power reserve and operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz). The watch is paired with a bi-material rubber and Camo AOR1 pattern textile strap, secured with a trapezoidal brushed steel pin buckle.
The final timepiece in this release is the Submersible Chrono Navy SEALs Titanio PAM01521, which offers a powerful blend of lightness and strength with its 47mm black-coated titanium case. It features a unidirectional rotating titanium bezel with a black matte ceramic insert. The countdown function can be set using the push-button at 4 o’clock, allowing the minute hand to move back one minute per click until the desired time is reached.

The chronograph is activated by pressing the "START" push-piece at 10 o’clock, and the watch also includes functions for immersion time calculation, stop-seconds, and seconds reset. The gradient dial, transitioning from black to anthracite and accented with beige Super-LumiNova, ensures readability in even the toughest conditions. The chronograph minutes are displayed by a central hand that jumps forward every 60 seconds, allowing the chronograph hands to be reset to zero and restarted instantly with a single operation.
