Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition timepiece with calibre 115 that runs for ten continuous days
Brands often release special editions to celebrate significant events, individuals, or milestones. Oris, marking its 120th anniversary this year, has introduced a special edition watch, the "Hölstein 2024," to honor this important occasion. Now, the brand is celebrating another notable event, the Chinese New Year, with the unveiling of the "ProPilot X Year of the Snake Limited Edition." Inspired by the spirit and color palette of the snake, this timepiece embodies the wisdom, wealth, agility, and intelligence associated with this Chinese zodiac animal. As this year marks the "Year of the Wood Snake," it symbolizes growth and new beginnings, represented by the Chinese color cyan.
The watch comes in a robust multi-piece brushed titanium case, measuring 44 mm in diameter. The watch is equipped with a domed sapphire crystal on both sides, treated with a double-sided anti-reflective coating for optimal clarity. A distinctive snake-patterned decorative bezel adds a unique touch to the design. The titanium case back is securely screwed in, showcasing special engravings celebrating the Year of the Snake, while the fluted edge mirrors the bezel’s pattern. The titanium screw-in security crown ensures comfortable use, and offers water resistance up to 100 meters, making it both a stylish and functional timepiece.
The skeletonized dial features a vibrant green finish that enhances its unique aesthetic. The intricate, snake-like structure of the dial adds depth and character, while the Super-LumiNova-coated hands and hour indices and minutes track on the green ring ensure excellent legibility. A standout feature is the patented non-linear power reserve indicator, which is highlighted by a golden hand shaped like a snake’s tongue, symbolizing the Year of the Snake. The dial also includes a small seconds sub-dial at 7:30 and a power reserve sub-dial at 3 o'clock, both treated with Super-LumiNova.
The watch is powered by the Oris Calibre 115, an in-house hand-wound movement known for its impressive 10-day power reserve (240 hours). Additionally, the movement is equipped with a stop-second mechanism for enhanced accuracy, and it operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz).
It comes with a Multi-piece titanium bracelet with folding Lift clasp. This watch is a limited edition to 88 pieces, and priced at CHF 8,200, approximately equivalent to AED 36,000.
