Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A professional diver powered by a Sellita movement
Oris has long been celebrated for its mastery in crafting reliable and purposeful tool watches that embody both functionality and refinement. Among its most recognized lines is the Aquis collection, a family of divers that spans from elegant everyday models like the Date Relief to serious professional instruments such as the Aquis Pro 4000m. The latest addition, the Aquis Pro 1000m, sits perfectly in between, offering the toughness of a saturation diver with the wearability suited for daily use, now paired with a more accessible automatic movement.
The watch features a titanium case coated in dark gray PVD, measuring 49.5 mm in diameter, 16.6 mm in thickness, and 55 mm from lug to lug, with short integrated lugs ensuring a compact fit. A double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating guarantees legibility under any lighting condition, while a helium escape valve on the left flank ensures performance during professional saturation dives.
Oris also integrates its Rotation Safety System (RSS), a patented bezel-locking mechanism that requires lifting the bezel to adjust timing, then pressing it back into place for a secure lock. The unidirectional bezel features a blue ceramic insert with light blue and white markings for enhanced underwater visibility. The solid titanium caseback reinforces the watch’s durability and contributes to its 1,000-meter water resistance, placing it among Oris’s most capable diving instruments.
The blue gradient dial displays a textured wave pattern inspired by the motion of the ocean. It features applied luminous indices and broad sword-shaped hands filled with Super-LumiNova. The minute hand glows blue, while the hour markers emit a green hue, providing clear contrast in low light. A date window at 6 o’clock and a turquoise seconds hand add functional and visual balance.
Powering the watch is the Calibre 733, based on the dependable Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of approximately 41 hours. While it forgoes the five-day reserve of Oris’s in-house Calibre 400, it ensures reliability, ease of maintenance, and cost efficiency, qualities that align with the model’s accessible positioning.
The Aquis Pro 1000m is paired with a blue integrated rubber strap secured by a PVD-coated titanium folding clasp featuring Oris’s micro-adjustment system for on-the-go sizing and a Safety Anchor mechanism to prevent accidental release. The watch comes with an additional black strap and a strap-changing tool. It joins the permanent collection at a price of CHF 3,400 (approximately AED 15,700).
