Black on black aesthetics adorns the iconic Divers Sixty Five
Oris is a renowned Swiss watchmaking brand with a rich heritage dating back to 1904, in the picturesque village of Hölstein. Over the past 120 years, Oris has built a reputation for producing high-quality mechanical watches, embodying the spirit of traditional Swiss craftsmanship while continually innovating and pushing the boundaries of watch design.
Yesterday, June 1st, the brand celebrated its 120th anniversary, and to commemorate this occasion, Oris is introducing the Hölstein Edition 2024. This special edition timepiece is a unique iteration of their iconic Divers Sixty-Five model, with a black on black aesthetics, and limited to just 250 pieces.
The watch boasts a sleek and robust design, with a 40mm diameter stainless steel case adorned with a black DLC coating. This coating extends to the case, bezel, and crown, providing durability and a striking aesthetic. The black unidirectional rotating bezel features a 60-minute scale. Additionally, the screw-down crown and sealed caseback ensure water-resistance up to 100 meters. The caseback reveals engraving of Oris's teddy bear donning swimming gear.
The matte black dial showcases black applied indices and hands treated with black Super-LumiNova for optimal visibility in low-light conditions. The dial also features a date window at 6 o'clock with a black date wheel that blends with the black aesthetics.
Powering the watch is the calibre 400, an in-house automatic movement that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz), and offers 5 days power reserve (120-hours). The watch comes with a black rubber strap with a black DLC buckle. The watch is priced at CHF 3,900, equivalent to AED 16,380.
