Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
Two elegant timepieces powered by an in-house calibre
For decades, Orient Star has represented the refined side of Japanese mechanical watchmaking. As the higher horological expression of Orient, the brand has built its reputation around in-house movements, a classical design language, and advanced complications.
The Classic Collection M45 is among the brand’s recent families inspired by celestial themes and the relationship between time and the night sky. To expand this collection, Orient Star introduces the M45 F8 Mechanical Moon Phase Hand Winding, a model that returns to traditional watchmaking values through its manually wound movement.

The watch is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 39.5 mm in diameter with a thickness of 11.9 mm. These proportions reflect Orient Star’s preference for classical dimensions, enhanced by softly curved lugs that ensure a comfortable fit on the wrist. A dual-curved sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment protects the dial and subtly amplifies its depth, while the exhibition sapphire caseback reveals the movement within. Polished surfaces and a finely ridged crown complete the case architecture, with water resistance rated at 30 meters.

The regular production version features a white dial, while the limited edition adopts a grey gradient surface that evokes the mysterious glow of the Pleiades star cluster. Both dials rely on a restrained two-hand layout, omitting a seconds hand. Applied Roman numerals mark the hours, while a power reserve indicator sits at 12 o’clock and a moon-phase display occupies the lower portion of the dial.

Powering the watch is Orient Star’s in-house calibre F8A62, a manually wound movement developed specifically to support this classical display. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 70 hours.
The watch is paired with a black cordovan leather strap secured by a folding clasp. The white-dial reference joins the permanent collection, while the grey gradient model is produced as a limited edition of 140 pieces. Pricing is set at USD 3,040, approximately AED 11,200 for the white model, and USD 3,280, approximately AED 12,100 for the grey edition.
