Introducing Omega Adds 8 New References to The 38mm Speedmaster Collection Set with Diamonds

The Omega Speedmaster is one of the most iconic chronographs worldwide, known as the first wristwatch to land on the Moon—earning it the nickname "Moon Watch." Initially introduced in 1957 as a watch for racing, the Speedmaster gained fame in the early 1960s for its role in space exploration. The Speedmaster line includes a variety of sizes to suit different tastes, and in 2017, a 38mm model was launched. This year, Omega is adding 8 new references to the collection with diamonds and green or chocolate brown dials.

The latest versions of the Omega Speedmaster 38mm remain 14.7mm thick but add a touch of luxury to the series, softening its sporty feel by replacing the tachymeter bezel set with 52 diamonds. Two of the new models are crafted from 18K Sedna Gold, Omega's patented rose gold alloy, and feature a chocolate brown PVD dial with oval subdials, also adorned with diamonds, and an oval date window at 6 o’clock.

Another two models are made from 18K Moonshine Gold, Omega's unique yellow gold alloy, with a green PVD dial and similar subdials. Additionally, there are four new steel models, each set with diamonds, offering a choice between the brown or green dial colors.

This release has introduced a more luxurious style to the Speedmaster, but it still runs on the COSC-certified Co-Axial Caliber 3330. This automatic column-wheel chronograph operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4Hz) and offers a 52-hour power reserve. 

Buyers can choose to pair their watch with either alligator leather straps or metal bracelets, regardless of the case material. The price of the new Speedmaster ranges from AED 67,500 to 69,000 for the steel variants, and from AED 132,000 to 180,000 for the gold variants, depending on the choice between a strap or a bracelet.
