Gerald Charles, the independent Swiss watchmaking Maison founded by the great Mr. Gérald Charles Genta, unveils its most complicated watch since its reestablishment less than a decade ago. The Masterlink Perpetual Calendar, developed entirely in-house, marks a new chapter for the young and ambitious Maison as it continues to expand its repertoire of poetic complications.

In keeping with Gerald Charles’s “No Compromise” watchmaking philosophy, established by Mr. Genta more than a quarter of a century ago, the Masterlink Perpetual Calendar introduces an in-house, asymmetrical, automatic perpetual calendar calibre with a three-counter display.

Since 2023, NORQAIN has been the Official Timekeeper of the BMW Berlin-Marathon, an event renowned for being one of the most prestigious marathons. Held annually since 1974, the marathon covers the standard distance of 42.195 kilometers. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the BMW Berlin-Marathon, NORQAIN is delighted to introduce the Wild ONE BMW Berlin-Marathon Limited Edition, a special run of just 50 pieces.

The limited edition watch features a black NORTEQ cage, a high-performance composite developed by the company that encompasses both the top and bottom parts, and an anthracite rubber shock absorber for enhanced durability. A sandblasted titanium container and case-back provide a robust and stylish foundation, measuring 42.00mm in diameter and 12.30mm in thickness, and offering 200m of water resistance.

The double anti-reflective, scratch-proof sapphire glass protects the dial, while an open case back featuring the “BMW Berlin-Marathon 50th anniversary” logo and “LIMITED EDITION ONE of 50” printing adds a touch of exclusivity. The watch is equipped with a screw-down crown overmolded with black rubber and the NORQAIN logo, as well as an engraved black NORTEQ NORQAIN plate on the left side of the case.

The watch features a striking black dial adorned with a gold-colored outline of the racecourse over a detailed map of Berlin. The skeleton indexes and hands are red gold plated, with the indexes enhanced with white Super-LumiNova® spots for excellent readability. The minute hands are diamond-cut and faceted, filled with white X1 Super-LumiNova® at the tips to ensure visibility in low light. Completing the design, the arrow second hand, also red gold plated, is accented with a white X1 Super-LumiNova®-filled tip.

It’s powered by the chronometer-certified NORQAIN Manufacture Calibre NN20/1 made by the Swiss company Kenissi, an automatic movement with a 70-hour power reserve that beats at 28,800 vph. The watch features an integrated anthracite rubber strap with a Milanese pattern and black edges, along with a black NORTEQ pin buckle. This limited edition of only 50 pieces is priced at 21,700 AED.
