Three new references with elegant yellow gold cases
Nomos Glashütte has built its reputation on refined minimalism, practical engineering, and a distinctly modern interpretation of German watchmaking. Founded in Glashütte after the German reunification, the brand has become known for its simple design language, in-house movements.
This year, Nomos opens a new chapter for its icon with the introduction of the Tangente Gold Neomatik, a collection that translates its signature aesthetic into precious metal. The release consists of three gold versions that highlight the versatility and elegance of the Tangente design.

The watch is housed in an 18-karat yellow gold case measuring 35 mm in diameter and 6.9 mm in thickness. These compact proportions stay true to the original Tangente, giving the watch a refined dress profile that sits lightly on the wrist. The polished surfaces and clean cylindrical form emphasize the simplicity that made the model a modern design classic. Each version features a sapphire crystal caseback that reveals the movement within, and the watch is water-resistant to 30 meters.
Reference 161 features a white silver-plated dial paired with tempered blue hands. These hands achieve their deep cornflower color by being heated to 290 degrees Celsius, following traditional watchmaking practice. Reference 162 also features a white silver-plated dial but replaces the blue hands with gold ones for a warmer tone. Reference 163 offers a darker aesthetic through a galvanized black dial complemented by gold hands. All versions include Arabic numerals, a small-seconds subdial, and the clean typography and layout that define the Tangente.
Powering the watch is the DUW 3001 caliber, an ultra-thin automatic movement developed in-house by Nomos. With a height of just 3.2 mm, it plays a key role in the watch’s slim profile. The movement operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and provides a power reserve of 43 hours.

Each version comes fitted with a Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap. Depending on the reference, the strap is offered in black or brown and is secured with an 18-karat gold clasp. All three models join the permanent collection, each priced at EUR 9,800, approximately AED 41,900.
