Introducing Nomos Glashütte Unveils the New Tangente and Orion Neomatik Doré

Nomos Glashütte, the German brand best known for its minimalistic, Bauhaus-inspired classic round watches, unveils two new elegant editions. Staying true to the brand’s iconic round design, these models are adorned with golden touches, aptly named "Doré"—a French term associated with gilding and golden hues. 

Today, we present the new Nomos Orion Neomatik and Tangente Neomatik Doré. This focus on gold recalls Nomos' recent celebration of 175 years of watchmaking history in Glashütte, marked by a special edition Nomos Tangente in rose gold.

Bauhaus is a German design movement from the early 20th century that emphasizes simplicity, functionality, and clean, geometric forms. In watchmaking, Bauhaus-inspired designs prioritize minimalist dials, clear numerals, and an uncluttered layout, as seen in brands like Nomos Glashütte.

Nomos Tangente Neomatik Doré

The Tangente fits perfectly into the Bauhaus dress-watch aesthetic with its 35mm case and a slim 6.9mm thickness.

 In a design consistent with other Neomatik Tangente models, the galvanized white dial’s peripheral minutes track features Arabic numerals at five-minute intervals, all printed in black alongside the Nomos logo, small seconds markings, and signature hour indices. The dial's golden accents come through the hour, minute, and small seconds hands, as well as the gold “Neomatik” print.

Nomos Orion Neomatik Doré

The Orion showcases a bit more gold with a 36.4mm case and 8.5mm thickness. A quick glance reveals differences from the Tangente, such as the Orion’s slimmer bezel and more angular lugs. 

The white dial here is also galvanized. For added distinction, in addition to the gold hands and “Neomatik” lettering, the Orion’s diamond-polished applied hour indices are also finished in gold.

Both watches are powered by the in-house automatic DUW 3001 Neomatik movement, an exceptionally thin caliber at just 3.2mm. It offers a 43-hour power reserve, runs at 21,600 vph, features 27 jewels, and is decorated with blued screws.

Each watch comes paired with a brown Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan leather strap. These new editions are now part of Nomos' permanent collection: the Nomos Orion Neomatik Doré is priced at 3,040 EUR (approx. 12,000 AED), and the Nomos Tangente Neomatik Doré at 2,940 EUR (approx. 12,650 AED).
