Introducing Nodus Unveils the Sentinel for AMMO NYC

The Los Angeles-based microbrand Nodus designs watches that are both functional and unconventional, from minimalist models like the Unity Collection to advanced tool watches like the Contrail GMT. This year, the brand shifts gears toward the automotive world, teaming up with Larry Kosilla, the obsessive detailing guru and founder of the automotive care company AMMO NYC. Together, they introduce the Sentinel, a watch built for professionals who work with their hands around sensitive, high-value items. Notably, the watch features a left-side crown (destro) design to keep it out of harm’s way.

The 316L stainless steel case measures 41mm in diameter and 11.5mm in thickness, with a mix of brushed and polished finishes. The bezel is made from impact-resistant TPU, a material specifically chosen to minimize the risk of scratching delicate surfaces. With 200 meters of water resistance, the Sentinel meets dive watch standards and is built for durability in any environment.

The vertically brushed anthracite dial is accented by a rose gold-colored chapter ring, hands, and applied indices, all coated with Super-LumiNova BGW9 for excellent legibility. Both the Nodus logo and the AMMO NYC crest are proudly displayed on the dial.

Inside, the watch is powered by the La Joux-Perret G101, a Swiss-made automatic movement that beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers an impressive 68-hour power reserve. The movement is regulated in-house by Nodus to a precise ±8 seconds per day.

The Sentinel comes fitted with a black hybrid TecTuff strap, stitched in white for contrast and designed for durability and flexibility. Quick-release spring bars make strap changes easy.

Only 100 pieces of the Sentinel will be produced, priced at $999 (approximately AED 3,700). Shipping begins August 8, shortly after Larry Kosilla debuts the watch on his upcoming reality show, Extreme Detailing, premiering August 5 at 9 PM EST / 5:00 AM Dubai time.
