Celebrating 100 years with new braided and stone dials
Nivada Grenchen enters its second century from a position few revived names manage to achieve. Its modern revival has been measured and deliberate, relying on historically grounded references and accessible mechanical credibility rather than inflated storytelling.

The F77 has emerged as one of the brand’s defining modern pillars, introduced as a reinterpretation of a late-1970s integrated sports watch. The Mk2 generation represents a further refinement of that idea, not a redesign, but a continuation that sharpens proportions and broadens expression without drifting away from the original intent.

To mark its 100-year milestone, Nivada Grenchen expands the F77 Mk2 line with a wide range of new executions, reinforcing the model as a flexible platform through the introduction of braided and stone dials.

The case measures 38 mm in diameter and 12.2 mm in thickness. It is crafted from stainless steel and finished with a mix of brushed surfaces and polished accents that define the sharp edges and facets of the design. The integrated architecture flows directly into the bracelet, maintaining the visual continuity expected from a 1970s-inspired sports watch. The caseback is closed with a solid construction suited to everyday use, and water resistance is rated at 100 metres.

Two distinct variants are offered. The first consists of textured braided, or tressed, dials available in black, grey, white, and blue, with an optional date display. These dials emphasise structure and rhythm, reinforcing the architectural character of the F77. The second variant introduces stone dials, including meteorite, lapis lazuli, green aventurine, and dark blue aventurine. Across all versions, time is indicated by openworked baton hands paired with applied indices. Small Super-LumiNova dots are positioned around the dial’s perimeter, ensuring legibility while preserving the clean layout.

Powering the watch is the Soprod P024 automatic movement. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours. The watch is offered primarily on an integrated stainless steel bracelet that mirrors the case finishing, with alternative strap options also available.

The watch joins the brand’s regular production lineup. Pricing is set at USD 1,160, approximately AED 4,300, for the braided dial versions, and USD 1,360, approximately AED 5,000, for the stone dial models.
