From Blue to Black, inspired from the U.S. Navy
Tudor was founded in 1926 by Hans Wilsdorf, the founder of Rolex, with the aim of offering high-quality timepieces at a more accessible price point. It has since maintained its reputation for Swiss watchmaking excellence.
In 2021, Tudor released “The Tudor Pelagos FXD” in blue titanium case that has been used by France's Marine Nationale, a diving watch that has garnered attention and praise in the watch enthusiast community. Its combination of style, functionality, and heritage makes it a good choice for both divers and watch collectors.

This year, “The Tudor Pelagos FXD” retains the same features as the previous model but now comes in a satin-brushed black titanium case, drawing inspiration from the U.S. Navy. The case maintains its dimensions from the older variant, featuring a 42mm diameter, 12.75mm thickness, and a 52mm lug-to-lug distance. It also includes a titanium crown adorned with the TUDOR shield. Notably, the watch now sports a ceramic unidirectional rotating bezel instead of the previous bidirectional bezel, with lumed 60-minute graduation. The watch has a water resistance rating of 200 meters, as displayed on the watch dial.
Speaking of the dial, it now features a matte black color instead of blue. It showcases the iconic snowflake hour and seconds hands, along with a sword-shaped minute hand and applied rectangular, square, and triangular hour markers filled with Super-LumiNova. Additionally, there is a red 'Pelagos' print on the dial that complements the two blue PELAGOS FXD Alinghi Red Bull Racing Edition models. One of these models features a time-only display, while the other comes with a chronograph function.

Beneath the solid case back lies the MT5602 caliber, from a relatively new manufacturer in the watch industry, Kenissi. A COSC-certified chronometer Self-winding mechanical movement that operates at 28,800 vph, and holds 70 hours of power reserve.
The new black "Tudor Pelagos FXD" comes with a forest green strap featuring a red central thread. This fabric strap is equipped with a self-gripping fastening system designed to complement the "FXD" concept, which stands for fixed. Additionally, the watch includes an extra black rubber strap with a woven motif and a titanium pin buckle. Priced at CHF 4,000 which is equivalent to AED 16,510.
